Blind Items Revealed #3

September 25, 2018

This A- list comic actress just keeps buying jokes and material from others and passes them off as her own.

Amy Schumer

  1. If she passes off a fart, it's original to her. Otherwise, no.

  2. There is nothing wrong with this.

    Most comics do this.

Back in the 1980's I was approached by a well known comic who was willing to pay me per joke.
(He thought I was funny; so does my wife!)

    (Insert Rim Shot here!)

  3. She pays people to write jokes about how unattractive, drunk, and unlikeable she is? The commenters on CNAD are more than happy to do it for free.

  4. They all do this.

  5. Exactly many comics, if not all, do this.

  6. I find her very credible.

  8. Most comics may do this now, but the greatest comedians ever to grace the stage like Carlin, Pryor, Bruce, Hicks, all wrote their own material as it was based on 'their' discernible point of view. We have no comedians even close tos the gems i listed above.

    1. Pryor had at least Paul Mooney writing for him.

    2. That’s why they’re the greatest of all time.

  9. Steve D he did - but his contribution was minimal. Pryor tossed him a bone which he stated himself. Paul did contribute though yes.

  10. Are there really that many comics that talk about their nasty, dirty veejays? I don't believe it. I'm gonna give Amy credit for some of her disgusting vagina jokes.

  11. She's the worst and I hope her sloppy bumps on the comedy circuit are merely one step on the downward trajectory of her worthless career.

  12. There is nothing shameful about a comedian working with writers. Few establlished comedians write all the material themselves. Comedy writers need to make a living too you know.

  13. Sounds like someone is obsessed with nasty dirty vaginas.

    And it ain't Amy/

  14. So Amy pays money to seem coarse, simple and primitive, while her bff J. Lawrence does it quite on her own. Classy.

  15. Whatever she pays them, she needs to ask for a refund because the material is broken.

    ReplyDelete
  16. If she pays for them, no problemo. At least she doesn't steal the material.

  17. Buying jokes js common. Not a big deal. $100 to $1000 per joke for ownership in perpetuity.

  18. David Howes I checked into your rental thing: I can't afford it.
But, good idea if I could.

Amy Schumer steals more material than she buys.

    Compilation of "parallel inspiration"

She stole from Patrice O'neal, Dave Chapelle, Daniel Tosh, Wendy Liebman, and John Mulaney just to name a few.

But the worst part? Her delivery/punchlines are so much worse than the original comics.

At least Carlos Mencia remixed the material he stole.

Also just a reminder that netflix actually removed the star-rating system after her God-Awful LEATHER standup special came out. They claimed "TROLLS" were giving her 1 star.

Finally, the only reason she's made it is Rich Family Connections. Good ol' Chuck Schumer

  21. Hopefully the writers she's paying are the ones stealing the jokes. I wonder how much of the plagiarism is her sister's doing.

If we only had someone in the comments that has a fair amount of experience with plagiarism and it's consequences that we could bounce some ideas off.

  22. At least she's paying this time.

  23. To be fair, @Schneiderisnext, the MRA/alt-right sad lad army did start up a hate campaign to one star her because she expressed an opinion they didn't like..

Because you know how the right-wing claim to support free speech until someone says something they don't agree with..

"the MRA/alt-right sad lad army did start up a hate campaign to one star her because she expressed an opinion they didn't like.."

.....as is their right to do since they were paying for access to a platform. Just because they organized doesn't invalidate their opinion....

In the same way Roseanne was kicked off of her own show....after a "hate campaign"....or James Gunn....after a "hate campaign"

DAILY REMINDER: HATE SPEECH IS LEGALLY PROTECTED AS FREE SPEECH IN THE US.

"Because you know how the right-wing claim to support free speech until someone says something they don't agree with.."

No. They used their "Free Speech" in the reviews and comments. The Free Speech stopped when NETFLIX REMOVED ALL COMMENTS. (which is their right to do btw as a private corporation)

  25. There's a reason comments aren't allowed in a lot of places anymore. The truth is damaging to their failing myths.

  26. Considering that Amy has made her career out of talking about nasty vaginas, it's her. Sorry to disappoint you for being wrong again, Plot.
