ReplyDeleteThat's typical Enty. He always keeps a few balls in the air (Meghan Markle, Ariana Grande, Angelina Jolie, etc.) When he's too lazy to make up a new blind item about somebody, he checks if there's an old BI waiting to be revealed instead.
ReplyDeleteAnd remember that Enty first made a very bold accusation, just hours after Bourdain died. He claimed he had been killed by a special commando paid by Harvey Weinstein to scare the "brave" Asia Argento, who was fighting "the good fight" against Weinstein. Enty later maintained this whole charade for months, connecting this to every other suspicious death in France.
Problem was that his "trusted" source about the murder was so obsessed with Weinstein (and most likely the Jews, as the "special commando" was obviously ex-Mossad) that they forgot to notice how unpopular Argento actually is, even before the Jimmi Bennett accusations (which the site had never heard about). So, around August and September, Enty "retconned" the whole thing, by connecting Argento, Weinstein and the special commando, who had previously been hired to murder her, to have Bennett killed (which obviously hasn't happened).
Yeah, it actually makes even less sense, but the readers here are happy, as they can now fully blame the whore, while she originally was a victim...

ReplyDeleteI've never had much sympathy for Argento. Given who her father is, it's no wonder she's completely fucked up. I had heard about her in the nineties, when she was the It Girl for European indie film, basically the Italian equivalent to Chloë Sevigny at the time. Her film career always had more promise than content. Last thing I saw her in was XXX, the James Bond rip off for the Generation X starring Vin Diesel. She was noticeable for looking bored or stoned, or most likely both during all her scenes.
ReplyDeleteThat said, even if she's manipulative and may have assaulted this underage actor she had previously directed, it's very likely that she was indeed raped by Weinstein. Her story is coherent with his usual modus operandi, and not something she made up by reading blinds about Weinstein here. She has dealt with it in a terrible way, she may have been a bad influence on Bourdain, but she is also a victim of Weinstein. People can be different things.
And then she went on to be Weinstein's girlfriend for five years voluntarily after that horrible rape. Sure.
