She seems like a big movie star because of that franchise she had. The thing is though, if her new movie is a bomb, this A- list mostly movie actress/celebrity offspring is going to start getting shut out of the good roles.

ReplyDeleteI'm not going to discredit her acting until I see her in a role other than 50 Shades cuz that character was written to be super boring so can't fault her for coming across bland in it
Considering her parents' and grandma's industry connections, she would have been extremely desperate and thirsty for fame to have signed on to 50 shades of grey. There's practically no buzz for suspiria after it's venice premiere so it's safe to say it'll bomb.

ReplyDeleteDakota is going to be fine, she's a pretty good actress and she got good reviews for all the movies she was in (even in Fifty). It has nothing to do with nepotism, if it did she would have gotten more starring roles way before Fifty. But nepotism is the go to for people that stalk blinds about her!

DeleteThe movie sucks. I saw it last night. Save yourself the 2 and a half hours I wasted watching it. It's not even good for researchers of the elite club. It's boring, the death scenes aren't creative and there's no suspense or mystery.

ReplyDeleteShe is beyond bland! If she were a color in a Crayola box, she would be basic taupe. Good actress? At what? Putting the audience to sleep? I still can't figure out how Don Johnson and Melanie Griffin had such a boring kid. They must have sucked the life out of Dakota at conception from all their debauchery.

ReplyDeleteJust seen her in this movie, Bad Times at the El Royale. It was good. She was good. I think she will be just fine too.
ReplyDeleteHaven't liked the stuff that made her famous but plenty of actors develop. It's the choices they make when they have options and get away from the thing that made their name that determine how well they do overall. Her recent roles seem more interesting. Original Suspiria is a classic.
