Blind Item #6

Don't believe the hype. These two royals are anything but bff. The alliterate one doesn't even want to try any longer to get along because the foreign one knows whats up and has been whispering in the ear of the husband of the alliterate one. So, the move out.

  7. Meghan must just want money and fame so Kate is saying that's what she wants.

  8. Sending Meghan and Harry to Frogmore Cottage is a pretty fierce insult, Queen style.

It's in terrible condition, it's best known as the home of one of Queen Victoria's (brown-skinned) servants, and the final resting place of Wallis Simpson is located just a few steps away.

The house is also directly under the Heathrow flight path, with low-flying planes going by roughly every 3 minutes. In other words: go home.

  10. Oh here comes the Meghan haters. Maybe they want to move to Frogmore because it's quiet and there aren't any tourists around. Plus they obviously like the place as they had their engagement photos and reception there. I don't blame them--Frogmore is a lovely place.

  12. And yeah, of course, Harry and Meghan HAVE to live where the Queen "sends" them. They couldn't possibly just buy a place with all the money they're rolling in.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Could be, Thia, but I think it's the way she's acted since the marriage that's pissing them off.

Her big solo project has been working with a group of Muslim women who make food for the homeless. She helped them raise money to update their kitchen, which would ordinarily be wonderful.

Unfortunately, the kitchen is located in a mosque that has also been the place of worship for a lot of British-born militants, including the "Jihadi John" who cut off a British guy's head on video. Their main imam is also pretty extreme.

I assume the royal courtiers told Meghan to break off contact with the women and find another project, but she hasn't, and made a non-official visit there earlier this week with the media in tow.

That may have been the last straw that resulted in Frogmore Cottage.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Living in Windsor is going to really the dent the social life of such a social climber. Dont think Megan was hoping for a quiet life in the country

  16. So the queen hates Meghan. Evidence:

she gave her and Harry a 10 bedroom house to live in. Right by Windsore Castle, her own favorite home.

Reportedly invited Meghan's mother to Christmas at Sandringham, unlike the Middletons who have never been invited.

Sure, sounds like she hates her.

  22. Oh, crikey, here come the paid commenters again.

Anyway, did anyone see the outfit Meghan wore to the Royal Variety earlier this week?

It was very Krystle Carrington in Dynasty circa 1983. Black and white with lots and lots of sequins. And then a long, Elvira-like black skirt with a train, which is not a good thing to wear on a rainy street in London in November, just sayin'.

Definitely worth a Google image search.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I like how Americans care more about this than the British do. I was visiting my home town in the North of England during the royal wedding and some middle aged woman came into the pub asking if they were showing it and she literally got laughed out of the place. I mean, literally. She left.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. So why all the people lined up on the street?

      Delete
  24. It's pathetic that commenters think everyone is supposed to be for or against Markle. Most Americans probably don't care either way, and certainly not nearly as much as Brits think we do, since we usually have more pressing things to worry about. The nastiness is sad, especially since she's brand new to the role and is probably still adjusting to their boring, oppressive life. Kate had many more years to become familiar with it than she did, too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Most people commenting are American, just putting that little nugget out there. I'm a Brit living in America and I can tell you that where I'm from, literally NOBODY cares about anything royal family related. Unless they get a day off.
Personally, couldn't give two shits. I think MM seemed alright but she did a very big fuck up going to that mosque that has a known extremist imam. Her team should have researched that one better.

    ReplyDelete
  26. These insights from you guys are golden - the mosque bits and Frogmore Cottage - HOLY HELL that is hilarious.

Yeah recent info is awfully interesting.

I will say - there is no reason MM's mother should be seen as anything but a devoted mother who wants the best for her daughter. The queen may well like her for who she is regardless of her feelings about Meghan.

It will be truly fascinating to watch this play out and I'm here for the whole thing. I didn't care about the royal family before but you throw an American in there and suddenly I'm in.

  27. Frogmore is large. Their current apartment at Kensington is small and the wait for the renovations on bigger apartments was considerable.

No brainer as to why Harry and Meghan are moving before the baby comes. Becoming comfortable there before April seems like a smart idea rather than Radical Insult!

I can't think of a better way to de-radicalize a mosque, church or temple then to make an honest effort to be present for them...mostly their mothers, sisters and daughters...in a natural way. Meghan seemed very happy to spend her Thanksgiving at the kitchen. The symbolism and optics are excellent.

'Course, some people got to bitch cuz that's what makes them happy....

    ReplyDelete
  28. The Queen doesn't like Meghan more than she likes Kate. She barely knows Meghan. What we do know so far is Meghan threw a fit because she wanted to wear an emerald tiara and the Queen put her foot down. And that Meghan was told to wear a hat on her outing with the Queen and didn't. Those things won't have endeared her to someone like the Queen. Kate has been a loyal, steady influence in Williams life for 17 years. Meghan's been around for 5 minutes. If she puts her head down and works hard, she'll earn the respect of the Queen the way Kate has. Meghan hasn't paid her dues yet.

  30. Plot, the renovations on what was supposed to be their 21-room Kensington Palace apartment were finished last month. That apartment is ready.

Frogmore, meanwhile, will require substantial building work before Meghan and Harry can move in. Maybe it'll be ready within 4 months - apparently there are some administrative staff there now that have to be turfed out - and maybe it won't.

Bottom line, Kate said no to having them as next-door neighbors in Kensington Palace (with that creepy connecting door) and they're moving to Frogmore.

And we don't "know" the queen had to cut someone a check nor do we "know" Meghan wanted an emerald tiara. Those are also fake made up blinds.

And no, the Middletons have never been invited to stay at Sandringham.

  33. Whoever said that Meghan had a "Dynasty" look forgot to mention that the beaded top was strapless, and Meghan wore a bra with straps. Pretty tacky for royalty. Also, Frogmore Cottage used to be housing for the help. If you think Frogmore is nice, it's because you're thinking of Frogmore House which is a very nice place. This is not where Harry and Meghan will be living. Oh, and Wallis Simpson is buried there. Just outside Meghan's future window.

  34. Why, because Harry is going to have an affair with Kate? Come on already.

Was it ever officially said that H&M would be moving into the KP apartment or was that what people speculated based on the refurbishment? Did anyone ask the Duke and Duchess who live there now?

And why when Wills and Kate lived for several years in Norfolk, were they not considered "banished" there? Maybe H&M want to live away from the public eye in Frogmore, which is usually not open to the public, when they have their first child.

    ReplyDelete
  35. orangesoda, the reason that people weren't watching the royal wedding was that it was the Premier League final that day.

    ReplyDelete
  36. And if Frogmore House is for the "help," ie Queen Victoria's favorite servant/boyfriend, so is Nottingham Cottage where they live today and where Kate and Wills before them. The pensioned off nanny used to live there.

Come on--have some idea of what's going on before posting.

  37. + 1 zilion @ sandybrook.

Another ridiculous royal blind. The time for Kate to be whispering in Harry's ear has long passed, like before he married and then impregnated her. AS IF Kate would actually do something like that now, with Harry obviously in love and expecting a baby with her.

It's just as ridiculous to think there are paid commenters waiting in the wings (even on weekends!) to defend Meghan on a site notorious for making chit up in voluminous amounts. Some take this stuff way too seriously.

  39. Krab, or Meghan is doing the same thing as Amal - surrogacy and needs to hide for the last few months of her pregnancy.

As for the emerald tiara, the story is that Meghan wanted to wear a really big tiara that looks like a crown, the Vladimir tiara that is usually only worn by the Queen and senior royals, and that this was considered over the top. It used to belong to the Tsar of Russia and his relatives smuggled it out after the Revolution and the BRF bought it. They're kind of ashamed of that and are worried that the Russians might try to get it back. Harry had a tantrum trying to get it for Meghan.

Finally, the rumour about Meghan's mother being invited to Christmas seems to have originated by Meghan. It's one of her tactics - put out a story so that other people are embarassed when they deny it.
    .

    ReplyDelete
  40. orangesoda, have you seen a picture of Frogmore Cottage? Why don't you have a look? Frogmore House is much nicer, but that's not where they will be living. Queen Victoria's favourite Indian servant lived there along with others. It's decrepit at the moment. And, Wallis Simpson is buried in the garden.

    ReplyDelete
  43. @Krab Give it up, Meaghan. The Middletons have actually been to Sandringham, if not on Xmas Day. They have also attended multiple events like Royal Ascot in the Queen's circle. They are very much embraced by the RF. The Queen's favourite castle is Balmoral, not Windsor, although she reportedly does like Windsor better than Kensington. And Frogmore Cottage is NOT Frogmore House. Anything else you want to bitch about?

    ReplyDelete
  44. The cherry on top is that the renovation is being funded by the taxpayers (second reno being done for H&M at the taxpayer expense in less than a year). The luxury touches, such as the yoga studio, may be what MeAgain thinks she’s entitled to as a big name celebrity, but the price tag continues to get her labeled as greedy and a major money suck. Apparently, the IRS is also looking into MeAgain ahead of next year’s taxes, to the point of where the Firm has hired a financial consultant to make sure everything is good for MeAgain’s American taxes. Remember, celebrity and status won’t save anyone from getting hit with charges if they’re engaged in tax evasion.

  47. Here is what has been printed so far: The Gloucesters are definitely moving out. Wills is miffed that Meghan is spending so much, so he wants separate budgets. Kensington Palace staff are fed up with MM being demeaning. The Queen is obviously annoyed because MM has been seated far away in the wings at the last two public events. I think the see-through skirt on tour and aides quitting were the icing on the cake, so to speak.

The Queen probably wants H & M tucked away in a corner for a while so MM can be properly molded and they can do their PDA thing out of the public eye. No way would MM prefer a palace in London for a cottage on the outskirts. Girl married for the glam life. William is probably scared stiff that MM could spill all the royal secrets and does not want her near his family. MM agreed because this way she has H all to herself and doesn't need to strap on the fake belly as often. Besides the rumors, the belly got suspiciously big waaay too quickly and became a prop in the worst way at Eugenie's wedding. At this point, MM is attracting all the wrong kind of attention. She has not made it easy on herself.

They do not have an apartment at Kensington -- their place is Kensington Cottage, a 2 bedroom house. Sparkles PR tried their best via the tabs to suggest to the BRF that the Sussexes living adjacent to the Cambridges would be ideal....but no, their new main residence, Frogmore Cottage, is 1/2 hour out of the city. Instead of being placed in the middle of the action, they are being pushed away from it.

Apparently Frogmore Cottage is currently in a 5-apartment configuration, most recently being used for staff. Good luck on renovations pre-April and being all comfortable, Sparkles and Dimwit!

  54. Tatty, they moved them to the servants' quarters. And although there are royals buried on the grounds, only Wallis Simpson is buried in the garden of Frogmore Cottage where Meghan will be living. I also read that Harry's income from his mother's trust only amounts to 300k pounds per year. Not that much. They have to depend on the good will of Charles to pay for their extravagant lifestyle.

    ReplyDelete
  55. @Mischi....it wasn't the Vladamirov Megs wanted but the one Eugenie wore, it had already been earmarked for her and Megs threw a tantrum and was told to 'take what she is given' by the Queen. The Vladamirov never belonged to the tsar it belonged to Grand Duchess Vladamirov his aunt. The majority of her jewels were salvaged by an Englishman named Bertie Stopford who managed to smuggle the jewels out of the country to their rightful owner before the Vladimir Palace was seized by the authorities. She gave it to her daughter Princess Nicholas of Greece, Queen Mary purchased the tiara in 1921. It was later given to Elizabeth and is her personal property not part of the crown jewels. Nobody ever wears it but the Queen and the Queen is certainly not ashamed of it nor afraid the Russians want it back, it never belonged to them and they sold off most of the confiscated Romanov and other aristocrats jewels in 1927 and 1929 anyway only a few remain in Russia.

Word is that the Gloucesters will now remain in the Kensington rooms . Megs is not playing her cards very well. She needs lessons from Kate and Mary of Denmark on how to play the long game.

Lots of CDaners have Frogmore House and Frogmore Cottage mixed up. Frogmore house is spectacular, Frogmore cottage is a dump and I doubt very much it will be ready in 4 months, Megs needs to rethink her game plan, cross the firm and they will make your life miserable, don't take the hint and keep making waves and you will probably be joining Wallis in pushing up the daisies at Frogmore.

@Dannette, the renovations at Kensington are complete, just moving in the furniture to be done. There is something else entirely going on here than Harry and Megs wanting to live in the country side.

For those saying they don't Have to live where the Queen tells them to, no they don't but they will have to give up many, many perks that go with the Grace and Favour accomidation and Harry simple does not have the funds to do it he has maybe £20million in the bank and an annual income of around 300k. If they chose to ignore her Majesties wished life would be very uncomfortable for them. All their expenses are met by Charles and he may be loathe to cross the Queen as well considering he is hanging out for her to abdication in the next few years.

Bullshit. Harry inherited $18 million on his 30th birthday from Diana's estate. He total worth is $40 million now. The interest on that alone would be far more than $300K.

First off, the income off 20 mill could be far more than 300k depending on whether that is money, land, estate or stocks. But you know that, right? Funner to bag on Harry and Meghan though than admit what you know.

  69. @Ringo - "Duchess of Banana Bread" Love it! @Rosie Riveter - yes, Frogmore sounds weird to us Americans. The main house is gorgeous but Smirkle and Harry are living in the cottage which is not cute. I think the Queen sent them away (70 miles from London) so no one in the Royal Family would have to put up with Smirkle and her attention seeking ways- going to the kitchen associated with a mosque involved in terrorism, treating staff poorly, spending extravagantly on wardrobe but still managing to look unkempt and messy. Harry is going to be off to Africa soon and leave Smirkle behind to feel sorry for herself. Frogmore has lots of graves and some say it is haunted. The constant airplanes flying overhead to and from the airport might distract Smirkles from the ghosts and from feeling isolated from all the action and cameras in London.

Imagine finding out you'll fund the renovation of a home for the dimwit and the fame whore who only cares about money, their hard-earned money, I'd be livid, the leech behaviour is too much and I can't believe the queen would sent them there if it costs so damn much? Anyway, I think it's shitty how Markle wants to make Kate look bad (you know she's the one sending these kind of Blinds) don't blame Kate for your fuckups MeAgain, that's all on you. Besides the Cambridges don't really have a say on who stays and who leaves, if they're indeed moving two hours away from KP, it's because the Queen wanted it that way. I mean, princess Eugene lives at KP with her husband, FFS! You just know they fucked up BIG TIME if they're being moved out of KP.

  74. I agree that the Queen made the final decision, but I think the Cambridges definitely had a say.

William is being trained to be King - the impression given repeatedly is that the Queen trusts him more than Charles.

And Kate has an excellent bargaining chip, and his name is George.

Whatever's best for the heir-to-be is what's best for the long-term security of the Firm. If Kate doesn't want Meghan near George or the other kids, away she goes to Frogmore Cottage.

    1. You’re correct on all counts. The apt. at KP has been ready (most of the renovations were the roof and windows.) The Dutch & Duchess of Gloucester were planning to move out, as all their children are grown and they no longer need such a big space. But Meghan & Harry are being banished to Frogmore Cottage, so the cover story is that the Gloucester’s don’t want to move & there is no other appropriate place for the Sussexes in London. I love the Queen’s sense of humor. Moving them near Wallis Simpson’s grave!

  77. the source for the 300k a year income for Harry came from the London Times. I think they would know better than any other paper. And with the low interest rates we are experiencing these days, it sounds like a very good return on a 18 million pound trust.

  78. Thanks to all for the kind words.

If there's any doubt that the British press - probably egged on by someone in the Royal Family - now has it in for Meghan, check out the top item of the Daily Mail site right now.

The story is a Tory donor who owned a big apartment block in Chelsea filled with hookers - "Ten floors of whores".

There's a photo of the man, a tight shot with just one other person - Prince Harry.

Hm, what would Prince Harry know about whores?

  79. @misci, A modest return on an investment (less that 1% over government bonds) would get him $720k. These rich folk did not get rich getting pedestrian rates of return. 4% is a modest, long term rate of return.

They do and the Times is fucking with you, dealing in your Outrage! Harry isn't putting his pile of money in a CD or in bonds. I would suspect he is making @ 2 million a year off his estate, probably turning some back into the principle but has plenty to play with every year.

  81. It's clear that the BRF want the public to really despise Meghan and if Harry gets thrown under the bus, no matter. It's obvious from William's demeanour in public when H&M are present that his relationship with Harry has really soured. Kate does whatever William commands. Something is afoot but it may be a slow rollout. And, the only reason the Middletons are not invited to Sandringham with the Queen is because they can stay with Will and Kate in their mansion that the Queen gifted them on the estate. Will and Kate don't even stay with the Queen and why would they? Hence, no Middletons, either. Plus, the Middletons have their own country mansion, they don't need an invite to stay with the Queen. I'm sure they like their independence.

  82. Just to add to above: great post, Depeche Model. @Nutty: Kate doesn't need any bargaining chip, William holds all the bargaining chips as future King. Poor dimwit Harry, he thought marrying Meg would give him the attention he so desperately craves, to "elevate" him within the family and to the public, to outshine his brother. Has he got any active brain cells?

  83. I love MMM - the local SF Valley girl who made it to Northwestern and is now a princess. So she did pay4play - most actresses do the same and Harry would know this and be OK with it; in the end it is just a job, and pays better than slinging makeup at Macy's.

This site has also claimed Beatrice also turns tricks when she is in LA. Their own blood doing that would be way worse than MM. I think Kate just does not like a new rival in the house. MM is well educated, prettier, and is the better public speaker. Kate never had to get a real job, for all we know she would also have been turning tricks if on her own.

  84. The 'alliterative one' is the foreigner when you are talking about the British Royal Family. The other Duchess may not like her, but she holds all the cards - she's going to be Princess of Wales, and then Queen Consort. The Adventuress (the name the QM used for Wallis Simpson) will be married (possibly) to the no-longer needed spare, consigned to a life of doing the things Charles, William or, eventually, George, don't want to do. Though no-one over here thinks she'll hang around here long enough for that. MeAgain has played this very badly - she only has herself to blame.

  85. If anyone wants to see what a paid shill comment looks like, check out the “Bill Cosby” comment above.

It has all the talking points: Meghan Markle is well educated and successful and, of course, very beautiful. Kate is lazy and unemployable. The rest of the Royal Family has indiscretions much worse than Meghan’s.

It comes from an account not seen before on this site, one that seems to be newly created for this purpose. Google Plus, no posts, no followers.

And it was posted on a popular but slightly old thread, when fewer people are likely to be around to call it out but it will still be available to people looking up previous posts.
