ReplyDeleteJake strikes me as someone very similar to his character in Brokeback Mountain...a guy who would be a happy bisexual if he could be, but society won't allow it and he is not quite brave enough to live his truth. Plus he probably enjoys the down-low and the seduction of straight men.
ReplyDeleteIt's ironic, but maybe he knows what he's doing. Many of these actors were "mentored" by the Merv crowd or the Geffen crowd who believe in staying in the closet no matter what...and they are probably right about that, if an actor wants a long career.
Saw Jake at the 2013 VS fashion show and afterparty, trying to hide his identity. He looked pretty damn straight to me.
