Today's Blind Items - The Recording Studio

Back in the day, when this property was first acquired, the permanent A++ list celebrity who acquired it decided he was going to build an underground recording studio because he thought the sound would be completely different than a normal studio. Sounds kind of crafty to me and he never really struck me as someone who considered the whole thing a craft. Anyway, the hole was dug about 300-400 yards fro the main house. The interior was built out, but the recording studio was never completed. It was basically just a 1,000 square foot unfinished basement all by itself.

About three weeks ago over dinner with his actress girlfriend, this former A+ list tween actor told her some of the stories he heard about what happened down in that recording studio. Our actor never went down there and when he asked about it, the permanent A++ lister said it wasn't a place for him, our actor to go. The things relayed to the girlfriend were so disturbing that she actually called the police to ask if they could investigate it. She is still waiting for a call back and doesn't know if anything is being done.

  7. LAPD is corrupt as hell, they wont investigate

  8. Nobody wants to believe it about him, but come on. If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, acts like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck/pedo.

  9. MJ used to keep several top LA recording studios on permanent hire when he was making an album, they are listed on the sleeve notes. I wonder what they would find *shudders*

  14. I don't believe that place was the Neverland Ranch from the clues though.

  15. LAPD wouldn't investigate anything at Neverland. It's not in LA.

  17. What a tragedy -made more so by cover up and buy outs.
For him to not want MC to go down there are we to think(hope), he wasn’t one of MJs victims?
I had always thought the contrary was true and that is one of the reasons he went off the rails with drugs etc.

  18. You're mixed up, John.

I like when people try to report crimes to the police.

rosie is the one who thinks that shouldn't happen.

She gets very triggered by law-enforcement action against pedophilia.

    ReplyDelete
  19. @Tricia, You'd think at least one pedo's brain wouldn't be rotten away enough that they'd avoid high profile victims. Perhaps he empathized with MC being a child star like he had been. Figuratively saw himself in MC not literally like whatever was going on in the underground studio.

    1. I always assumed not raping young boys of fame was MJ’s “alibi” so to speak. They’d all come out and say nothing inappropriate ever happened and we’d all believe them and think he was being targeted for his money.

  20. Astute observation @Brayson..very possible.
MC was probably destined for self destruction due to his Fuckhead parents anyway:((
Hope he is truly better and thriving(seems so)

  21. That article on DM is disturbing. I didn't know they found all that stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Someone else said he wasn't Michael's type he wanted to fit in with young white boys and be like them but was attracted to young hispanic boys. Which fits in with his accusers.

  23. Remembering when I learned the accusations about Michael Jackson were not smears but true and it was one of the big "Red Pills" about the world larger than the music industry. There are so many pedophiles and hebephiles in position of power and influence, politics and entertainment.

I was still young, and it was long before most of the world knew. It made me so depressed and increased the drug problem I had at the time [tho I'm not blaming anyone but myself for that--I should've known better than to place hope and trust in billionaire rock stars].

  24. All signs point to MJ, but I’m going to throw Phil Spector’s name in the mix. His whole “wall of sound” comes to mind when I think of somebody wanting an underground studio to create a completely different sound. That’s the only thing I’m basing my guess on, because I have no idea as to his real estate situation & if it would’ve allowed for such a thing. Well, that and Spector was totally psycho.

    ReplyDelete

    1. @kelli I thought of Spector too, but one thing Enty said in the blind eliminates both him and Jacko--the part about "someone who (never) considered the whole thing a craft".

That certainly doesn't apply to either Spector's or Jacko's music. Both highly regarded as innovative (Spector) and extremely talented (both)

The linked blind is not Neverland, it references the "3 acre" property - the lake at Neverland is bigger than that. Neverland is a 3000 acre lot.

This story could be Neverland. An underground studio makes sense, as you could get the best insulation from outside noise, and build large echo chambers, like the one that used to run under Sunset Blvd., which was used on hundreds of hits. It sounds like one of the things Michael would throw vast sums at, and then lose interest in.

Doubtful the Santa Barbara police would do much of anything - or tell this woman they were, the police don't comment on open investigations. But, unless there's film footage, photos, or dead bodies in there, I doubt the SBPD wants to reopen that can of worms. Plus, the entire place was renovated since MJ died, and it's currently for sale. If any evidence was down there, it was removed years ago, either by MJ's people, or the current joint-owners, the family trust and a development company.

OB- Jackson wasn't a studio guy, he was the "talent". He let guys like Quincy run the craft part of the gig.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Why would MJ be called a celebrity and not a singer? Also, I thought he was VERY MUCH into his craft.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Anonymous12:12 PM

His craft was singing, and dancing. He wasn't a studio guy, not that I ever saw or heard. He paid others to run the studio, so he could focus on the mic. MJ wasn't a DIY kind of guy.
Gotta understand, running a studio, even a small home one, is pretty deep technically. He wasn't a technical guy.

  29. Notthisagain-are you referring to the one about the bones being dug up by wild animals in 3 acre area or no? Most thought it was Neverland but no confirmation. It has been for sale in sB forever. Also, my cousin's bestie's dad was a detective on that case & the evidence against MJ was pretty bad-mostly the specific description of his penis by boys & wording they all used...one that said walks n talks like a duck-MJ actually told boys his come was like duck cream or some weird shit & more than 1 boy said that! Hard to make up same stories when some of these boys never even met eachother! Also, he paid off too many & high $$$ before the case against him!I wouldn't be surprised if some kid/s died accidentally or something like that poor girl Heather from Poltergheist-having crap put inside her!Disgusting! Nothing would surprise me in Hollyweird perversion!

  30. Anyone trying to fit Michael Jackson in as someone who never considered recording music a craft needs to just delete their entire internet account now. You're too dumb to contribute anything to any conversation.

  31. I mean they even made a video game where his mission was collecting small children.

  32. Any word on whether the underground recording studio sounded completely unlike anything we have ever heard?

My two cents: Let's build a recording studio on a mountaintop! Or underwater! Or, let's start real fires in the studio. That music is gonna blow their ears completely off!

  34. @Joseph, According to the blind the full studio was never completed, but pretty sure the studio's only purpose was to muffle the screams.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @Brayson87 Good point. My reading comprehension leaves much to be desired, I see.

I find it hard to believe that there's never been a recording studio in the history of recording that wasn't completely underground and in a basement. I know I'm kind of getting wrapped around the axle here in that I'm really missing the point of the blind, but I much prefer a blind where the story checks out.

  36. Dustin lane, I've heard that the boys were able to to give descriptions of his penis before but I never heard why, was it the vitiligo?

  37. Looking at Neverland, it doesn't fit when you look at overhead imagery of the site.

The kinds of defenses described would be pretty noticeable on Google Earth. They're not there.

300-400 yards from the house would mean that, on the southern arc, the "studio" would be close to the big ponds, and water intrusion would be an ongoing issue/hazard.

North, you're under a very-well-manicured lawn. Pain to dig up, even more pain to fill in behind without leaving a very visible scar no matter how much you manicure it.

East/west are under some hillocks--most likely caliche, and that is about the same consistency as concrete. You'd leave some very obvious scars.

  38. MJ a celebrity or singer?

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm going to throw Hugh Hefner's name into the mix here. In his heyday, Hefner founded Playboy Records mostly as a means to give his girlfriend Barbi Benton a platform (and because he put 'Playboy' on anything. Hefner was years ahead of the whole 'branding' trend.) There have always been rumors about underground tunnels at the Playboy Mansion, leading to other celebs house (James Caan was among one of the rumored celebs) Why would you ever need underground passages?!
And Hef is def permanent A++ celeb.
I do not have a guess as to who the former tweener is.

  41. Nah - Hugh Hefner has something better than a kiddie dungeon, Hugh had that magnetic vault of singular media clips to blackmail all of Hollywood and DC 100X over for 50 years in both directions.

    That blind was badass.

    ReplyDelete
  42. "he never really struck me as someone who considered the whole thing a craft."

Not MJ, he was many things but he took music very seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  43. MJ definitely gave of pervy vibes, but to me he always seemed rather a-sexual.
I really can't imagine that delicate bag-o-bones, whisper-fairy-voiced and nervously giggling MJ would rape a teenage boy, but I can definitely imagine him getting off just looking at a prepubescent willie. Or watching a young boy masturbating. But I can't see him do anything else.

You never know though, that Jesus-juice shit was kinda sickening to be honest. But still, I believe that as far as pedos go, he was more of a voyeur, than anything else.

  44. Didn't Corey Feldman spend a lot of time at The Playboy Mansion?

    ReplyDelete
  45. the blind never stated that it was a 'kiddie' dungeon, only that it was obviously built for nefarious activities. And yes, Corey Feldman did spend time at the Playboy Mansion:
"The first time I met Corey Feldman was when I sat at his table at the Playboy Mansion at the infamous Kandyland Halloween party."
    http://defamer.gawker.com/i-accidentally-went-to-corey-feldmans-orgy-1203008847

maybe bc he was underage is why he was told the space wasn't for him.

  46. This is way out in left field, and I honestly hope I’m wrong, but could this be Elvis/Graceland? He was in a movie with a teenage Kurt Russell. Russell isn’t married to Goldie Hawn.

The crafty comment struck me more as the project itself being crafty, like doing a home rebuild himself, and he’s not the crafty type. Not that he didn’t take his craft seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Funny, the first thing I thought of was the Playboy Mansion.
