I'm going to go against the tide here and say I find John Legend more irritating than his wife.
She, at least, is occasionally funny ("Nobody told me I'd be going home in diapers too!" she said after being discharged from the maternity ward.)
He's unbearably earnest and self-righteous. And he almost ruined an otherwise excellent production of "Jesus Christ Superstar" by having the same facial expression throughout, which The New York Times described as "John Legend is worried."
Is it just me or does anyone else think getting an EGOT for essentially just being talented musically, a bit of a cheat?
When you think 'proper' Oscar -if you think of it at all these days - you think acting, deserved or not. And to a slightly lesser extent with an Emmy too, followed far behind by a Tony. Only a grammy says music.
I always thought songwriting was the cheapest way to get an EGOT. You could write one big song for a Broadway show - Tony. Then that song's on the album of the show - Grammy. Then the show's made into a movie - Oscar. Then it's made into a TV production - Emmy.
Is it any wonder the Russians thought they could sway an election and cause discord in the US when you see people like Tiegen with millions of followers. What is wrong with us??? We've become such a vacuous society seeking fulfillment from social media.

She's the epitome of a mindless following LA bimbo with a twitter account, who's desperate to get noticed for more than just being somebody's wife. Can't get anymore cliche' than her.
I love CT, she is funny, smart and a great cook. I follow her on Insta and love how family oriented she can be. Yes, it might all be for looks as some of you jaded folk may say, but she plays the part well. I also love that she makes more money than her husband. LOL Y'all are such haters. LOL
