Blind Item #12

The ultimate kneepadding weekly magazine is being paid a monthly fee through a PR company for approximately 10 positive stories per month about this alliterate former actress turned celebrity.

  3. Doubtful anything can salvage MM's reputation. She is disliked by most in the U.K. Just got back from spending 2 weeks there, and boy. Are they vicious in their opinions of her.

    2. Have you spoken to a majority of people living in the U.K. and asked them how they felt about Meghan or are you only using the Daily Mail as a reference point.

  5. What's so funny about Kneepads is when the magazine started it actually printed interesting celeb stories. And if the celeb had some not so shiny past history, they'd address that too.

Meghan Markle and she is taking down Harry's popularity with her. I'm assuming that Harry is personally bankrolling the stories as palace insiders are saying he's going all out to protect her. It's not working on the UK sites I visit. I've been reading UK sites for years and the royal family popularity just keeps slipping.

  14. If you’ll allow me to put on my tin hat for a moment, Russia has been linked to about 14 assasinations on British soil over the past decade. (Here’s a BBC article about one of them: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-43315636). Causing problems for the British Royal Family would be an excellent information war tactic. If you believe the Russians are clever enough to compromise a US President (I don’t, but never mind), compromising the Mountbatten-Windsor family isn’t too big a stretch.

    ReplyDelete
  15. At any rate, the Russians have plenty of cash to pay for PR. More than Harry has, more than Meghan can make from her dresses.

  16. Ah, the fan fiction continues. Why would the Russians want to make MM look good by paying for positive articles in an American magazine?

    ReplyDelete
  17. I get it, she probably yachts for Putin. In between returning her custom made dresses, of course.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oh, Krab, don’t be dumb. Formenting ethnic and racial division is a classic soft war tactic. The white Royal Family won’t welcome a biracial Princess! Bad news in multicultural Britain!

Too bad they picked such an unstable, unsympathetic woman. Better luck next time.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Er, maybe pick Hello magazine then instead of People? Sorry to point out the flaw in your "reasoning."

Also, where are these supposed articles? Must be at least 2 a week, then?

Oh, they're with the Singer/Esquire thing.

    ReplyDelete
  20. LOL, before I read the comments I thought, "Why do we need to hear 10 good stories about Lindsay Lohan per month??? Are there that many?"

Regardless, 10 per month is well past overdoing it.

  21. Harry, born half-royal and half-brained.

  22. I wonder if some of the PR money goes to anti-Kate Middleton articles. There’s one in the New York Post today, borrowed from The Sun.

    1. Of course. Ever since MM came into the picture the number of negative Kate articles, posts, instagrams etc have significantly increased. It’s no coincidence. Megans crazy fans refuse to believe a bad thing said about her but are more than willing to eat up all the good things put out about her. Funny how that works out considering no ones perfect and where there’s smoke there is usually fire. They do love to drag Kate down, William and even the kids to prop up their queen of narcissism so these articles feed her fans and her PR knows this. The RF should have seen this coming and stopped the relationship before it even had a chance to get off the ground.

  23. Here with the popcorn reading the stupid and crazy comments lol

    ReplyDelete
  24. the positive stories are probably print + web, hence 10 stories a month

    ReplyDelete
  25. The only thing that's going to help MM now is a massive "life-threatening health condition" (a la Liz Taylor from way back, except *hers* was real). And if it's pregnancy-related, all the better. There's no amount of do-gooding she can muster to accomplish that type of empathy and sympathy needed to overcome her current bad publicity. So, mark my words, that's exactly what's going to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I subscribe to Hello! magazine, which is British, and I have to say it is FAR more kneepads-y than People. They only print excessively positive articles, the Royals are featured in every edition, and it's a weekly, so I could see this BI being Hello! and not People.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I see the fantasist is at it again, before it's how she'd be brought down by secret recordings that might be racist now it's that the Russians might be using her to sow racial division in the UK, why would she get herself involved with people who kill you as soon as look at you, secondly the British people don't care that much about the royal family that it would cause a rift in society. It's funny you label her unstable when you're obsessed with her and make up scenarios about her being brought down.

@Connie Courtney I don't know what kind of people you spent time with here in the UK ( was it a DM commenters meet up? ) but as someone who lives here most people I've spoken to about Meghan seem to either like her or aren't bothered about her or the royal family in general, I've only met one person who expressed a negative opinion of her by saying they were unsure about her.

@Londongirl her family is completely dysfunctional, her estrangement from her father after he sold stories, private photos and private conversations as well as staged fake photos is understandable.
Her sister is estranged from her own mother who doesn't have a good word to say about her, she's also estranged from some if not all of her children as well as the difficult relationship with he brother. Her brother himself has a difficult relationship with their father and his own sons none of which are down to Meghan, sometimes families are toxic so you cut them out before it destroys you.

    1. 👏👏👏👏👏 Preach!!!! I am just glad to see someone in this comment section with common sense. Now if you ask me i think that Kate and Carole are behind this current smear campaign against Meghan because all this so called feud mess didn't start until Harry and Meghan's tour and the cookbook that Meghan helped the ladies of the Hubb Community Kitchen do both of these by the way were successful.

Here is food for thought to mull over: In Britain there is a newspaper called, The Telegraph and they did a story basically liking Meghan, the Hubb Community Kitchen and the mosque that Hubb is using for kitchen space to terrorism. Now a few days later Carole Middleton does/gives an interview with the same newspaper to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Paper Pieces but peep this y'all if you go to the website of PartyPieces it says that PP was started in 1987 which means their 30th anniversary was last year not this year. Now all of this may be nothing to the rest of you but i get suspect vibes from all of this.

  28. Isn’t this de rigure for all people in the public eye? A pretty staple strategy of any PR company worth it’s salt. There are enough blinds about planted positive news stories here!

  29. It actually raises an interesting point. Which gossip website is being paid for approximately 30 negative stories per month about Meghan Markle?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hey Megs, how goes it? LEANNE LOL

    ReplyDelete
  31. Sparkles PR Team is here on the boards to tell us how everyone in the UK loves her.
We get it, you're getting paid a pretty penny to promote this thrice-married moon bumper.

Please understand, nobody is buying it and you'd be better off to have Sparkles disappear for 6 months
to create more mystery. This will be the only option to potentially turn the tide of public opinion.
The oversaturation is only pushing people to despise her even more than they do.

Just wait until the surrogate drops off the twins at the Frogmore Servants Quarters.
If she had any brains, she'd lay low. Otherwise, she will continue on her way to becoming more disliked than she already is.
People are not fans of FAME WHORES like Meghan. Have some dignity and humility and STFU.
The public's disdain stems from your constant fame whoring to make people like you.

  33. OMG, go to People and see them defending MM and her crass bump cradling in a photo montage and article. Ha ha Enty you get all the bacon for Christmas.
Most of the photos show other Royal pregnant Mums accidentally brushing their hands on their extended bellies and one of Kate who looks like she got kicked, but none of any Royal deliberately belly clutching a la Miss Megs, it’s hilarious

  34. about Harry and Meghan's Christmas card - it turns out that it's identical to something she did with her ex-husband. LOL! and isn't it hilarious about all of those rumours that Kate is pregnant! I hope she is, because that will certainly steal Meghan's thunder. Karma from Eugenie's wedding, bitch!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm British and my co-workers mostly think she's a low-class gold digger. I agree, but it's nice to see a little diversity in the royal family. Maybe they needed a Hollywood whore to shake things up and make them more interesting. As long as it helps tourism, Meghan can stick all the pillows she wants up her dress, as far as I'm concerned.

    ReplyDelete

  36. Since she was removed from the Palace(in the real world, we would say Evicted) , Markle has made zero daytime or official appearances.
    Several weeks.
The fashion awards thing was rogue. As was the college thing. Unofficial and solo.

The Queen has most likely sat Henry down, and had the Talk.. the same talk she had with Charles and Andrew.

I hope Kate is pregnant. Anything that knocks that two dollar whore off the royal balcony is a good thing. The Christmas card photo today certainly set Brits off in a big way. I had noticed in other photos she was draped across bfs in identical poses. So she's not even smart enough to change up her routine. Her narcissism will be her downfall. Eventually that half wit husband is going to realize he's been played. Too many people know where her secrets are buried and most of them are people she's pissed off. Personally I think Prince Andrew has been given the assignment to destroy her and she's no match for Andrew.

  40. I have friends in the UK and they like Markle and think the press is nasty to her, so I'm scratching my head over the hateful comments here. Never saw her show. All I see is she's a strong public speaker, has a degree in international relations, is politically aware, and the queen's allowed her represent the family at charity engagements far faster than Kate.

I remember people were vicious when Kate was dating William - she was going to destroy the monarchy, and something with her uncle that was messy and shameful...and before that it was Camilla who was going to destroy the monarchy and her behavior was shameful... and everyone said Diana would be the one to destroy it before her, and how her behavior was shameful. So really, there's nothing new, is there?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Bec, she's far from a good public speaker. She speaks and waits for people to applaud. And, all she talks about is herself.

  43. Meghan Markle in Daily Mail.

  44. Obviously Harry is paying for the Kneepads mentions. And he'd better keep doing so if he wants to keep MM happy.

Article in the DM about Cambridge v. Sussex Christmas cards:

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-6497783/Markle-sparkle-v-country-Kate-Two-telling-cards.html

The Sussexes chose as their Christmas photo one in which MM and Harry are posing with their backs to the camera. After criticism they are spinning it as “turning their backs on the past and looking to the future”. Whatever. 🙄

  45. You people do realise that this is gratuitous cdan 'hits' material, don't you? Or, it doesn't even matter as long as you have a place to vent your ugly jealously.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Its really sad that your source is the tinhats on tumblr. Just like your blind item saying it would hard for her to get pregnant or some crap like that. I personally think you are like the British media when it comes to Harry and Meghan- you don't know a damn at all.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Anyway, it’s all hella entertaining. Best gossip story going on right now.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Whichever is real or not it’s really sad to think that little boy walking behind his mothers casket could be in such an awful situation. I always hoped the best for both Harry & William.

    ReplyDelete
  49. @Ann says "Personally I think Prince Andrew has been given the assignment to destroy her and she's no match for Andrew."

Really interesting point. Andrew knows the underworld, and he basically has no reputation left to lose - he's one of the least popular members of the Royal Family.

He also has a strong incentive to deliver for the family, because he's trying to get his two daughters set up as full-time royals, against Charles' wishes.

Not to mention getting Fergie back into the Royal good graces, which is already happening - she recently held a charity event at Kensington Palace.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm betting we'll see either MM or both her and PH to be interviewed on Inside Edition. Watch for it! I'll betcha a dollah!! AND, I'll even throw in Prince Charles to sit with them both as well, per Harry's request. I always try to keep in mind Harry/William know ALL the family secrets. Wouldn't take much for the rogue one (Harry) to threaten Charles if he doesn't help him out!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. …all this so called feud mess didn't start until Harry and Meghan's tour

The tour was when Meghan started losing her grip and showing her calculating nature. Cradling an invisible baby bump, time and time again. Baking banana bread to bring to tea (seriously, think about anytime YOU were on vacation; did you have time to bake anything? No. She must have driven staff crazy with her demands to get the ingredients and utensils to get the silly thing baked). While in New Zealand uttering a native phrase in Maori during a speech, pausing, and looking up expectantly for a reaction. Soooo fake.

    ReplyDelete
  52. So, back to my original question: who is paying for Meghan Markle’s PR?

Harry may be rich, but he isn’t liquid. Most of his money is in a trust, with a set amount paid out each year. (Unless he’s borrowing against the principal, which he might be crazy enough to do.)

Meghan hasn’t worked in more than a year and has no visible wealth accumulation, such as real estate. I doubt she can afford this.

I think someone else is paying. I wonder who.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I'm told her mother-in-law is fairly well-off and can afford to pay the fee. Hell, the Queen could buy the whole magazine, building include, if she so desired.

  53. I don't know what MM is like as a person but I'm from the UK and when I meet with others she really isn't the focus of conversation. I'd like MM's and Harry's marriage to work in as much as I'd like any marriage to work. I have heard speculation as to whether she might have a dark-skinned baby. Who cares? I don't mix with the royal family obviously so they have little meaning in my life (well I know some of my taxes go towards paying for them). I don't know if MM is a nice person or not and IF she is rude to her staff there is no excuse. It's hard to discern what is true Internet Land and what is fabricated. I may not agree with Flat Earthers but at least their conspiracy doesn't hurt people. I came across a conspiracy called "transvestigation" - people who claim that anyone famous or at least most famous people are secretly transgender - that theory really takes the cake but some people believe it! Of course someone has put out the idea that MM is secretly a boy and wearing a moon bump. I'm just mentioning that because as an individual I find it very difficult if not impossible to know what gossip about MM might be true and what is a hoax. Incidentally when I saw reference to "The People" I initially thought of the British tabloid "The Sunday People" (sometimes referred to as "The Sunday Peephole"),

    ReplyDelete
  54. Should have said "in Internet Land".

    ReplyDelete
  55. Puzzled Onlooker, I think Meg's public behavior is enough to make it clear that things are not going well. No conspiracy required. (My only question is about who is paying for her positive PR, and it's unlikely to be the Queen.)

Either she'll have a baby in a few months or she won't, and then that mystery will be solved as well.

The bump does grow large and then shrink again in an odd fashion, and sometimes shifts or folds when she bends over, but perhaps there's a real baby (or two) behind it and Meghan is just padding for effect. She is an actress, after all.

    ReplyDelete
  56. There is a very silly section of the British press though NF (and I'm saying this as someone from there). I'm getting on in years now but I can remember 30 years ago there were a lot gossip articles to the effect that Diana was marvellous, Fergie (as in Andy-Pandy's ex not as in the singer/actress) was awful. Whereas the truth was likely more that both of them had feet of clay. Diana was making waves about the land mines but then she died unfortunately. I actually came to have more sympathy with Diana when I learned how unhappy her marriage had been than before. Well I guess we'll all have to wait and see. I'd like the marriage to work as I say and I would like the Queen's (as in of England) grandchildren to have more successful marriages than three older children (Teddy Edward and Sophie are still on their first marriage). Though "People" in this instance I think refers to a non-British paper.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Than the Queen's three older children - my proofreading skills are at sea today.

    ReplyDelete
  58. @ Nutty - I still suspect that it’s Harry footing the bill here. Yes, he’s not very liquid, but just how much money is being paid for the recent PR blitz? MM has really only needed damage control in the last few months. I’m sure PH could get his hands on some cash to get them through what he probably thinks will be just a few months of the press picking on his precious Duchess. Or it might be Charles, either lending Harry the $$, or paying the bill himself to keep the royal laundry looking clean.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Her Majesty sure isn’t footing the bill for the problematic Duchess, don’t forget it’s her decision that got them evicted from KP, and after it was revealed that the Hub Community Kitchen had links to an unsavory organization MM still unofficially visited on Thanksgiving.
All her recent appearances have been alone, and unofficial not listed in the Court Circular.
MM’s behavior is such that it is taking press away from the official visits of Kate and William, the Royal’s have a hierarchy and their schedules are coordinated so the press isn’t split on what Royal to cover, it won’t be looked at kindly that much like Eugenie’s wedding MM wants the publicity for herself.
Charles is probably footing the bill, because he has an attitude that his son and wife are much more popular than himself, even in their own ranks. HM has worked a lot more with William preparing him for Kinghood than she has Charles, who has an uneasy relationship with his parents and is said to have embraced the Duchess because they both come from dysfunctional families. I don’t think Charles yet knows what a narcissist Megs is, but HM will not long let MM continue to take press and attention from Kate and Wills charities.
I also find it strange that at the Rembrance ceremony MM was placed on a different balcony than HM, Kate and Camilla. MM looked quite upset and I feel a picture is worth a 1000 words.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I also do believe it’s Andrew and even the Duchesses own staff, doing the leaking. Andrew and Fergie because MM announced her pregnancy at their daughters wedding and the staff because MM is an unpleasant and rude individual whose demands are not just culturally different.
Another picture is the tag left on her dress in Tonga, and the rumors that MM and her pal Jessica are profiting on the wardrobe paid for by Charles.

    ReplyDelete
  61. @Unknown, you're right, it could be Charles paying for it all.

Charles is looking very ineffectual in this whole episode, and it's easy to picture Harry convincing him that Meg "just needs some help so people can see the good side of her" or some such nonsense.

Harry's can also use "the press killed Mummy" argument, which I don't think is strictly true.

But I'm sure Charles loves his son, and is acutely aware of his own lack of popularity. I'm still not sure Charles will ever be king.
