Hi DM'ers!!!
ReplyDeleteI gave up on People when David Bowie and Glenn Frey died within a week of each other and People's cover choice was to run yet ANOTHER bland story about how Celine Dion is doing after her husband's death. Their editorial choices are baffling. And MM on the cover is not a motivator for me to buy any magazine.
ReplyDeleteIs it People or Us that keep referring to her as a princess?
ReplyDeleteSmart move by meghans people..the negative stories were coming fast and furious
ReplyDeleteThe stories aren't making her any less repugnant.
DeleteThe negative stories are still coming fast and furious.....
ReplyDeleteSMH at her - a PR firm......
She is a princess. She's Princess Henry, actually.

Deleteevery time I see her on the cover of a magazine, I decide not to buy it.
ReplyDeleteNothing unites people on DM like a positive story on MM. It's like Pavlov ringing the bell for his dogs. Definitely a dumb move on the PR team's part at least on that site. Then again no one claims the Sussexes are smart.
ReplyDeleteMM must be utterly baffled at how quickly the tide turned against her.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that she can only be “The Princess Harry” is indicative of the fact that she’s not really a princess. She could style herself that way if she wanted because she’s married to a prince, but when they divorce in a year or two that right is gone. She can continue to be a duchess (and I bet she will) forever if she wants (as Fergie has) but “princess” is a courtesy only and not a title that belongs to her...as proven by the fact that she can’t even attach her own name to it, Same goes for Kate currently, but that will change when she becomes Princess of Wales - a title she can keep even if they divorce like Diana did.
ReplyDeleteMarkle is deeply unimportant & gets the curtseys and forelock tugging only because she’s a satellite of a real royal person. When he comes to his senses and gets rid of her, she’s nothing.
This is news how, this is what do for Kate & what they did for Di, not to mention Vanity Fair does the same thing....the royals have pr teams and the pr teams have contracts with friendly media outlets.
ReplyDeleteThey could run 200 fluffy positive pieces on MM and I still wouldn’t pick up a copy of People.
ReplyDelete4 magazines per month with 10 positive stories per month means 2 and a half stories per magazine. I don't think thats right. But I don't doubt she has to pay for positive stories.
ReplyDelete@ hothotheat: I’m assuming the ‘10 stories’ include online as well.
ReplyDeleteI saw Meghan featured on the cover of a magazine today. It was the biggest celebrity moments of the year or something? I wasn't paying a ton of attention.....I wonder if it was part of her People deal XD
ReplyDeleteKind of off topic - I checked out Laineygossip for the first time the other day to see how much Markle ass-kissing truly went on over there, and boy, was it nauseating!!
I through there was a lot of pro-articles about her in that magazine. Here a better question: How much a month and WHO is actually paying this bill in the end? The royal family, her husband?
ReplyDeleteI have not gone to Lainey in quite a while. Considering she is besties with that Mulroney chick it's to be expected. I remember the huge crush Lainey has had on Prince Harry.
ReplyDeleteI thought that 10 stories a month odd. But the DM had a story on a ring she wears. It made me realize that the ten stories probably include "mentions." As is not a proper story but a photo and a few sentences, sprinkled throughout the magazine. They can touch on makeup, hair, skincare, shoes, gloves, a florist she used, or even a stair railing she touched in person. (yes, some sarcasm.)
ReplyDeleteI really wonder if Harry married his match. I had thought well of him, but in hindsight both he and his wife have a history of running after celebrity and fame. I had thought his humanitarian efforts were genuine, but now they all seem like photo ops.
(Hi, first post. *waves*)
Keep trying to cover up the fact that she's a YACHT GIRL that has slept with ALL of the nasty moguls we see wrinkling before our eyes on national tv. I feel sorry for Harry having such tainted leftovers that must really suck as it goes down in the real history books.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of gratuitous DailyMail articles why is that whore/witch family the Kardashians featured so much are they under contract to suck Piers Morgans ass for an eternity?
Oh come on, does it matter what the article says when the first thing you do on DM is jump to the comment section...same with Lainey and Instagram Once upon a royal. It's sort of addictive, and it's so negative. Even today, Xmas day the minx was still pawing Harry and exposing the bump in an unbuttoned coat. If she hadn't screwed up the whole family relationship thing and thought further ahead than just her wedding she probably would be a people pleaser, but the whole phone home MM thing especially after the humanitarian speil and her past post about her wonderful father have just sunk her boat. Have been a DMer for 30 years. With MM the turn is like 911 and Trump. But in her case opposite. She started off well liked...and now it's about 90% negative with more daily lines starting, I use to like her but.
ReplyDeleteSo it's a bit mean, it is fun.
BTW. Hugh Jackman must have a deal with DM. I posted an innocuous response to a comment of The wives all loves him with Its not just the wives.... something clean ambiguous along those lines and they wouldn't publish. Next story you try a ambiguous beard line and see if it gets through. I've tried for ages, nothing get in there and 99% of my comments are normally allowed
On the DM line, i wish the comments section here had a like & hate button, So much easier that having to make a comment saying you support someone's ideas plus a placeholder reply like DM and YouTube would be good too...keep the topic responses together without losing the threads
ReplyDeleteLainey is so FULL OF HERSELF she's unreadable. I stopped a few years ago, but peeked at her latest Meghan diatribes. Lainey is as she says - all TRY. And she tries mightily to front as thought she understand the British and the royals, but she hasn't a clue. Her every hypothesis is off-base to the point of being in the mall parking lot across from the stadium. There is no racism involved. Meghan is trash. Lainey is lower-class and has no understanding of old money. Oh, she pretends, but she is clueless. No one from a good family would have anything to do with Markle and her crass manner.
