December 21, 2018

This soon to be A list superhero had to be restrained from a reporter who he overheard telling people how bad the new movie is. It is bad. Like Suicide Squad bad.

Jason Momoa

  1. it's not *that* bad...at least it's not Holmes and Watson bad.

  2. Sounds like roid rage.

  3. Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Low end of fresh, but it's enough. Anyway, I don't think most of its audience is seeing it for the reviews.

  4. I liked Suicide Squad, and I enjoyed Aqua Man. Most of the people in the packed theater must have felt the same, as they laughed and applauded.

  5. Enty, why do you hate Jason so much? He steal your girl?

  6. Haha its making bank at the B. O. so he has a career with a franchise. Ant Man sucked too and its not stopping that franchise.

  7. And good on Jason for keeping Justice League afloat (pun not intended). Lord knows Batfleck and Cavill have all but managed to sink it.

  8. I liked the first Ant Man and I generally don't go for superhero movies. It was the only thing playing near me on vacation. But I didn't bother with the second one.

Momoa is just odd to me.

  9. Antman rocked, just like it's sequel. Avoided it and saw Bumblebee instead, now that movie was superb. Will try and fit in the new Spiderman before having to go back to work.

  10. Momoa is a spoiled entitled narcissist, with a hopelessly codependent wife, who lets him sleep around because she has zero self esteem.
    Call a spade a spade.

  11. people could keep in mind perspective of rotten tomatoes reviews.

I mean the holiday classic Home Alone has a 62% for crying out loud. it isnt gospel.

aquaman will make $$$ even if its bad - but it doesnt sound as bad as this blind makes it seem

  12. Let's be real, Home Alone doesn't deserve higher than 62%.

Deadpool is written at a middle-school level and people loved it.

Whatever brings people into the theaters I guess.

  13. Home Alone was original and entertaining and had a sweetness to it. I think it's worth at least an 85%. The second one was also entertaining, but a lot more sadistic.

  14. Hated Aquaman. In fact, I'm sick of comic book stuff in general.

watching ant man and the wasp tonight.

  16. Aquaman was never a huge success as a comicbook character or in Saturday morning cartoons. I don't know why they chose to concentrate on this character.

  17. Went to see "Aqua Man" with wife and daughter.

    They liked it.

I thought it was a string of action scenes tied together with a badly wigged Amber heard.

(Was it intentional to have her red wig look like it was made from nylon fishing line?)

Besides, you shouldn't criticize acting in an action movies. They're all badly acted.

    =)

  20. I saw it. The scenes above water were tolerable.
    Everything under water, sooo bad.
    Jason knows it.

  21. The F/X in the previews looked soooooo bad. As bad as Amber Heard's cheap wig.

  22. i hate all this superhero bullshit, but 'aquaman' is winning at the box office, even it it sucks. says a lot about the quality of american movies these days.

    ReplyDelete
  23. love momoa but ‘aquaman’ reminds me of bad 70’s saturday morning cartoons... it’s and odd choice. Also, not a fan of heard.
Ant man/ wasp was good/ok except the villian sucked
Suicide squad was unimpressive/lousy, leto is horrible and only knows how to overact/ be a caricature. - sucked as the joker, robbie was silly as the token bad hot girl, the delvigne was abysmal as encantress....even the name sucks.

  24. So over the comic book bullshit, maybe I'll catch it on Netflix.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Odd - I've heard lots of good things about the film....

  26. Momoa's skull looks as if it's about to explode from all the steroids he's been taking. His ridge bones, his jaw are growing grotesquely. He's gonna need surgery like Schwarzenegger did in the early eighties to not look like the Hunchback of Notredame.

  27. Aquaman is no Flight over a cuckoo’s nest, but we all knew it..it’s fine as entertainment

    ReplyDelete
  28. The reporter is crazy the movie has made almost $600 million worldwide it is a hit!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Every studio and film maker would love to have a 'bad' movie like Aquaman$$$$$$$

    ReplyDelete
  30. Aquaman thus far is playing like a typically front-loaded comic book movie here in North America. It's one of those ones that's going to make all of its money overseas, which is unfortunate because you really need the NA audience for this type of film.

    ReplyDelete
  31. *in order to make back your money on an overpriced product.

    ReplyDelete
  32. After this weekend, it's going to be at about $750 million worldwide. Domestic should ultimately end up near $250 million. They're making plenty of money even with the lesser foreign cut.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Why is everyone so surprised when Hollywood would rather make money than art? Most people would rather watch a Suicide Squad or an Aquaman than an Eternity's Gate.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @KittensRUs

You'd have to pay me to sit through Suicide Squad or Aquaman. My fee is $200 per movie.

oh, for a Neil Simon script.
Just one more Neil Simon film.
    Rest well Mr. Simon...

  36. This is straight up pathetic. The movie is still leading the box office and getting some great reviews. Disney fund this site? Is that why no one ever acts on any of the 'groundbreaking' blinds?
