Today's Blind Items - Everyone Forgets

Everyone remembers this permanent A list celebrity who did a turn in reality late in life as some type of gregarious larger than life celebrity. He was that, but people forget that he also tried to sell a magazine a few decades ago that sexualized tweens and teens. It didn't last long, but not because there was not demand. It is because people were afraid to carry the magazine in stores because of how it depicted these tweens and teens.

People also forget how he anonymously wrote a review in the magazine that made him famous giving a rave review to a book. In that review he said, "Last year, the Puritan press generated a national burst of pious outrage over child pornography, the abuse of minors at the hands of callous X-rated film makers, pimps and worse. Behind the campaign was the notion that children need to be protected from all forms of sexuality until they reach an age when they can fully appreciate the subtle nuances of guilt and shame that make sex such a bummer for many adults."

It is also a book that glorifies incest and suggests that babies as young as six months are ready for sex. It also says that incest should be embraced and not rejected in society. That if you start very early with your female children they can grow into "notably erotic young women."

  7. Here is the book:
Among the books reviewed in the June 1978 issue of Playboy is Sex Without Shame: Encouraging the Child’s Healthy Sexual Development by pediatrician Dr. Alayne Yates. Accompanied by an image of a child’s letter block with a nude, masturbating woman depicted on one side (captioned “never too young”), the anonymous review proclaims that the book “couldn’t come at a better time.” Playboy’s nameless critic proceeds:

  14. How is this POS still practicing and not being investigated??

  15. Nope, I'm probably so much younger than what this whacko is she'd want me to give her some. Must be somewhere between 75 and 85.I guess once a book is in circulation, its hard to get rid of it.

  16. Research all of your kids' doctors folks. There's some seriously messed up individuals out there with licenses to practice medicine.

    ReplyDelete
  17. these medical boards are useless and it takes a heinous crime to take away a medical license. Dr Nassar that molested the gymnasts only had his license taken away in April of this year.

  30. I knew a lady who, as a teen, regularly serviced all five of her brothers. All were within a year age of each other. She did NOT grow into a healthy adult. Even after years of counseling she was still pretty fucked up in the head. No sense of self-worth was her major problem.

  34. Good on her, but nobody really gives af about bisexual or lesbian women. It's being bi or gay as a man that's still a big deal, at least in showbiz.

  35. it was called sugar & spice I think... poor baby Brooke shields was a feature in his nasty ass magazine NUDE as a 12 year old... you can STILL google the photos of her TODAY! she is literally a NUDE CHILD posing as a woman for playboy!!!!!! I just found this out a few months ago & was totally shocked... Hefner sounds like a typical talmudic fake zionist jew; this is garbage, pure utter garbage... those poor children :(

    1. You're correct: even with the modesty black bars in the article I saw it's so disturbing I don't want to hear it was a different time or "art"
It's too bad because like the blind states I'd see Hugh on Girls Next Door and he seemed like a low key likable randy guy - this really shows another creepy as hell side

  36. I've been doing some research, and am going to call shenanigans on the teens/tweens magazine. I don't think it ever existed. The only other magazine Playboy seems to have published was Oui, for some years starting in 1972 (until they sold it). It seems impossible that such a magazine was published but has left no trace. The quote is real, but not the magazine.

  37. Oh those wacky erotic six month olds!

    Really gross.

I don't know what the magazine could be. Unless it was disguised as a teen pop star magazine or something like that but the real target was pedos.

    ReplyDelete
  38. was the magazine the one in the 70s that had the teenage groupies on the cover?

    1. That was Star magazine. 1973 I think. I had the few issues they published before it was discontinued.

  41. SHAME ON YOU. SHAME ON YOU. SHAME ON YOU. SHAME ON YOU.

The only "source" you have for this libelous blather is a website known for advocating white supremacy, anti-semitism, and historical revision. I didn't stutter on that last part -- HISTORICAL. REVISION. It's easy to cherry-pick from any piece of writing or other source to skew something one way or another, and this allegation just STINKS of it. I looked up more information about this book and one thing that showed up was an article from the Sydney Morning Herald, one of Australia's more renowned newspapers. It was written by an expert on the subject of sexuality and sexual development and gives a MUCH, MUCH better perspective of what the book REALLY says, which DOESN'T advocate for adult parents molesting their very young children but more affectionate behavior, such as HUGGING them more often. Here's the link to the article:

    https://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/life-and-relationships/why-parents-should-encourage-the-development-of-their-childs-sexuality-20170309-guujhx.html

That you're trying to make this into something more sinister is absolutely beyond the pale, and I would highly encourage the author of the book and the Hefner estate to sue this website into Gawker-style oblivion for this appalling libel. I used to enjoy this site, but whomever has taken over it is given to outrageous conspiracy theories and now unbelievable bigotry. Fuck every single one of you who didn't take the time to learn the truth in your race to latch orgasmically onto lurid nonsense.

  43. There is a contingent of people that want to see this vile stuff mainstreamed. Their means of doing so will be to use the "don't kink-shame me" crowd to slowly move the goalposts on what is acceptable. It's been going on for a while already.
