DeleteHe didnt pay her anything for the "abuse allegations" She withdrew her TRO request, The judge dismissed it with prejudice. They settled their divorce according to California Community Property Laws because they didnt have a prenup. Even if she never claimed anything, she still would have gotten the $ settlement. And their is no proof she donated. At most, she probably setup a Charitable Remainder trust which means she draws an income from that trust thru her lifetime and the charities only benefit upon her death and only if there is any money left in the trust. This is widely and commonly done for rich people to get a donation benefit.

DeleteThere is no right to Alimony payments... Only equal division of community property aquired after marriage and before date of physical separation. I love how ppl think they can marry someone and get 1/2 their $$. Bezos is screwed cuz he made ALL his money while married... She will get 1/2 all community assets, but alimony is subjective. Even if he had a prenup, it would only shield the $87 (or whatever) he had in his checking account before he got married
What are you talking about? She got $7 million which was half of his earnings minus half of her earnings for the year they were married. That’s the bare minimum in the state of CA.

ReplyDeletelooking forward to seeing depp get some justice finally. i am familiar with all the court documents, followed this story since may 2016, and i absolutely believe that amber was violent towards Depp, not the other way around.. hell, she's admitted and averred to it under oath...that she punched Depp in the face twice. there's also amber's DV abuse arrest at SeaTac airport, in 2009, where she beat her then partner Tasya.

ReplyDeleteYou might want to re-read. The Loop link says that she donated between $1 million & $5 million. You’re assuming it’s $5 million, but it’s probably $1 million. She was apparently broke when they split. She said she’d donate the money for PR purposes. But nowhere have I seen proof that she donated the entire $7,000,000. Probably donated 2 and kept 5. That’s Scamber for you.

Riddle me this, if he was hitting her on a regular basis why didn't she leave? He wasn't financially controlling her. She wasn't locked in their house. He would be gone for months while filming. Yet, she stayed and partied with her friends. And why did these DV accusations only materialise AFTER he refused to pay her 50k a month? What about the fact she served him divorce papers within days of his mother dying or the fact she's been observed hitting him?
There's so many things I could post, but the second you do you get hysterical posts screaming bloody murder. The hypocrisy is revolting.
