Blind Item #9 - Mr. X

He's finally getting called to the carpet. This A-list actor and comic is going on an apology tour for some old remarks he made. He originally wanted to start the tour on that alliterate talk show host's show, because she was one of the first people to defend him. But his PR people panicked and ordered that he will go on that show hosted by that funny lady or else his career won't recover. He begrudgingly said yes. More proof that the latter host caters to the PR people of her guests. She won't treat him with kid gloves however, she will probably lecture him about how wrong he was, blah blah blah. Will he get his old job back? I don't know. But I'm sure he'll get a Kneepads cover, because the same conglomerate is in charge of both that magazine and the show he's going on.

  8. He had Tweets from 2011 in which he said he hoped his son would not be gay.

  9. Kevin made homophobic comments and sorta lost the Oscar host gig.

  10. Oh shite....
Guess the job he won’t get back is Oscar Host?
    It sucked anyway:((((

  11. @Tricia, old homophobic tweets. Because we know how rare homophobia is in the African American community. ;)

  12. Its not Kevin Hart - he's repeatedly apologized for those specific tweets in the past. That was his whole point of contention for the Oscars, he refused to KEEP apologizing for it

  13. UGH I don’t understand why anyone would think Kevin Hart is funny? Just bc you scream out your stand up it doesn’t make you entertaining... I’d love to see Ricky Gervais do it and be ruthless, like the first time he hosted the GG.

  14. Thanks for info all.... . Disappointing... so he’s not only a cheater he’s a total doucher.

  15. On Lainey Gossip, today. (in the social media post)
"Kevin Hart is scheduled to appear on Ellen next week and I’m curious to see how he will play it. He went through a few stages with his apology: it was a combination of “why you mad, haters” and “let’s stay positive” and then a decision to step down rather than apologize for his homophobic remarks, followed up by something resembling an apology. GLAAD issued a statement shortly thereafter and said, “Kevin Hart shouldn’t have stepped down; he should have stepped up.” Do you think Kevin will step up on Ellen, or will it be a repeat of the same old?"

  16. Both him and Tiffany Haddish are not funny. They are silly but not funny. He said he wouldn’t apologize and then apologized because I’m sure his agent said it would affect him going Mainstream which he has been trying to do.

  17. He's conflicted because he only supports closeted gays.

  18. Crumbs if wishing your son doesn't turn out gay is the new bad, then call me BAD!

  20. If this is Kevin Hart, I don’t like Enty saying blah blah blah - Kevin ‘joked’ about how having a gay son would be unacceptable to him (he was completely serious) and that is so very harmful to young boys who might be gay. His comments have probably led to a lot of pain for especially young black gay boys. So it’s not ‘blah blah blah’

  21. Since when does Ellen = alliterate? When did she defend Kevin Hart?

Louis CK on Sarah Silverman. If by defending Louie it means that she allowed him to jerk off in front of her "with permission" then this is it.

  22. @Velora, He wanted to start with WW, but his PR people ordered him to go on Ellen. Wonder if he will dance.

  23. @HiThere Wrong. Kevin's joke was that he'd beat his son (or something to that effect) and "tell him...WITH MY VOICE...that's gay." See, the punchline was "with my voice" and it was in fact the whole joke because Kevin Hart sounds like Mickey fuckin' Mouse. He was also amping up the "homophobia" to make the line land. I feel super sorry for all the people who don't have the cerebral wherewithal to comprehend that, but your lack of understanding in no way means it wasn't funny all the same.

  24. @ Brayson87 Thank you for the clarification, friend. Kevin Hart probably didn't even write the bit, LBR. but his apology tour for jokes..? Yep, flew past my radar. Sometimes I forget that it's not that deep.

They're still fun to figure out, though.

  27. Kevin Hart has nothing to apologize for. Comics should be honest and authentic or they turn into interchangeable snide-o-matics like the late nite tv dudes. If you don’t like their particular brand of authenticity then don’t go to their shows or watch them on tv. Jeez. It’s not like there aren’t any other entertainment options. Or like Hart is actually offensive. In the bit that got everyone all spun up he prefaced it by saying he doesn’t have a problem with gay people, that he has friends who are gay but that he was just being honest that he didn’t want his son to be gay. Then he made fun of his own effort to prevent his son from being gay. Getting upset about something like this just pisses people off and ultimately makes gay people look thin skinned, anxious and petty. It’s not helpful.

sick of the fucking word-police getting their knickers in a twist over ever single little thing, destroying people's livelihoods, creativity and freedom. They are not just at the forefront of the death of comedy, but also death of freedom of speech, death of humanity and death of real diversity

they won't stop until everyone marches and goose-steps to the exact same identical drumming of homogeneity = fascism

  31. Well I was def wrong, Page Six headline today says Hart possibly returning to Oscars after ELLEN 'makes a call'

  32. The oscars would loooove to have him back. He doesn’t need them.

  33. Oh, please. Lots of people across the political spectrum say ugly things in order to be "edgy." They're entitled to say them and you're entitled to tune them out or make your own "edgy" comments in response.

  35. Def Kevin Hart & Ellen.
There’s only 2 talk show hosts: Ellen & Wendy. There’s only 1 actor/comedian currently in trouble for past things said, “off the carpet” aka red carpet aka Academy Awards.
Watched Ellen today though, there was no “that was wrong of you blah blah”...
