ReplyDeleteI don’t “get” the whole opiate thing. When I had to be on them, after a car accident, I was so foggy & out of it. Not an enjoyable feeling, at all. All I wanted to do was sleep. I guess I relate more to ppl that are hooked on things that make them hyper or more out going. I’d much rather feel more awake and more productive. I hated being a total blob on my pain killers.

DeleteIt’s just gonna be her whining that she has depression & anxiety, caused by something that happened at age 14 that she has “bravely overcome.” 🙄 If it was truly something meaningful, she wouldn’t be advertising it. She’d just post it without fanfare. Instead, it’s s whole marketing gimmick.

ReplyDeleteSizzurp is good stuff, but the only times I've ever used it is when it was doctor prescribed for a bad cold or flu. It allows me to sleep without coughing and once I take a spoonful of it, I can't stay awake long enough to feel euphoric. If I used it as a party drug, I'd be passed out on the couch and people would be drawing rude things on my face with a sharpie.
ReplyDelete@Mango: I’ve been taking cough medicine with codeine for the past two weeks. I agree, it’s good when you have a horrible cough so that you can sleep. But I’m assuming that the reason sizzurp is cough syrup mixed with Mountain Dew is for the caffeine, and I guess the jolly ranchers are just for stupidity?

I'm allergic to codeine and took percocet when i fractured my leg. It just put me to sleep. As far as Lil Xan, i like his music and think he is a hoot. Much better than rainbow brite pedo 69. Hope he gets better.

Oh wait, about Lil Xan, i really am not familiar with how a person withdraws from that drug. I would guess he has trouble sleeping and has a really hard time calming down. These kids these days abusing prescription meds is something i do not understand.

ReplyDeleteA good alternative to codeine cough syrup is hot toddy tea. Realistically, it's not going to get you through the night when you're coughing up your toenails, but it does feel good on a sore scratchy throat that's raw from coughing. Here's the easy peasy recipe... one cup of hot black tea, green tea won't work for this, add a big spoonful of honey, 1/4 to 1/2 of a fresh lemon squeezed & a big pour of bourbon. Enjoy... Noah, meh, moving on.
