Blind Items Revealed #1

December 27, 2018

Don't believe the hype. This permanent A- list mostly television actor from an iconic role on an iconic show is not holding up a reboot of the show. There will not be a reboot. No matter how much money is thrown at the group, it is not going to happen. I mean, I guess if they were offered $10M an episode it could happen, but that won't happen.

Matthew Perry/Friends

  1. I like Jennifer Aniston's idea of a Golden Girls type reboot years from now.

  2. If anything Schwimmer would never do it.

  3. They'd completely fuck it up.

  4. I'm so sick of reboots. I loved Friends, but it does NOT need a revival.

  5. Supposedly, Rosanne Barr is game to stand in for Courtney Cox if she is unwilling to do it.

  7. They are all still pulling in 20 mil a year from re-runs. NONE of them ever has to work again. Why would they need a reboot?

  8. Why does Jennifer Aniston make one bad movie after another, pimp water and other products, and alert the tabloids about each and every boy toy she dates more than once? Because she can't stand fading into cultural irrelevance.

That's the same reason they might consider a reunion, even if they don't need the money.

  10. Looks like someone takes escapist television sitcoms just a WEE bit too seriously. FFS.

  11. I see Kanye isn't the only one off his meds.

  12. AlcoholicSolo or whatever your name is, I cannot understand anything that you type. I know you're a troll. But you suck at it. Try harder.

Anyway, I never watched friends. It was annoying. The song was annoying too.

  13. It's nice to hear other points of view, especially if they're zany. I think Akh was the only one to survive the purge that took most of the wilder commenters off the site. Not sure where they went, they just seemed to disappear over the last two months.

  14. There was never, and will never be a reboot. I posted this comment on the original BI, but the writers have said it countless times over the last 14 years since it ended. It will literally never, ever happen. They said it could never work, because the characters were all at the age when your friends are your family, and now that they all grew up and started families of their own, the dynamic would be too weird of a story-line, and it just wouldn't translate. Plus with all the pussified millennial snowflakes crying over the "lack of diversity", too many people would be outraged, the writers would have to write stupid, corny jokes to appease, and it would fail anyway.

I would love nothing more, it was, and still is, my all-time favorite show (fuck you haters), but it ain't gonna happen.

  15. Aniston was pictured in Wyoming this week. She really didn't look good, or happy

  16. I don’t know why she would say this when she has said all along there would not be a reboot.

    Are you playing along?

  18. That show was over five years after it started, but they went and did another five agonizing years after that. Just let it be dead already.

  19. I never watched the original show, so I could careless than a damn about a reboot of their whinnying asses.
All the remakes or updates are ludicrous and BORING..
what a waste of money, they could do so much more than copying from decades ago.
Music, Movie, clothes etc... everything comes back in style and there's no REAL musicians anymore, they just remaking somebody's else song or stealing the music 🎶 (background) singing included..
I'm sticking with my 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 1% of some new songs I hear by accident n like the song.
