Blind Items Revealed #2

January 12, 2019

This CEO’s company just had a big round of layoffs. The CEO left the office by 11am that day, and took his private jet for the 25 miles to get home.  Every employee was told about whether they still had a job or not by email later that day.

Elon Musk

  1. That's what shitty bosses do - minus the plane. Mine is always out of the office when layoffs or firings happen. Very small company. Maybe 50 ppl. So it is very noticeable when he is absent.

  2. Again, your info is wrong. His plane landed at LAX the night before and then went back to its base at VNY at 11, without Musk. According to employees he was at the office all afternoon.

  4. Tesla just raised their rates on supercharging (the public chargers that they own) globally. Some people were saying the cost to "refuel" now is more or less the same as what it would cost to refuel a Prius--at least here in the states. Must really need cash or these superchargers are costing them a bundle to install/maintain. (the first few years all cars came with free supercharging for life).

My small town put in six Tesla charging stations (reportedly the mayor owned stock in Tesla and owns a Tesla) and most of the time they sit empty. I wonder if our city is getting stuck paying higher rates for the charging stations.
