Blind Items Revealed #4

September 18, 2018

Emmy Awards

One of the producers of the show was livid because these two B+ list actors from a very hit long running television show hated being there and told everyone they hated being there but had the producers over a barrel. They treated everyone like crap and made outrageous demands and they will never be invited back.

Colin Jost/Michael Che

  1. Something wrong with wording of this blind. Seems like the producers must have had THEM over a barrel or why would they have been there if they didn't want to be??

  2. I'm confused... if they hated being there, but *they* had the producers over a barrel, why were they there? Is this supposed to read that the producers had *them* over a barrel?

  3. In their defense- who really wants to be on anything with Jimmy Fallon?

  4. ETA: it's utterly obnoxious and unprofessional to the extreme if they behaved this way. They should be humble and grateful for their good fortune, let alone to have found this long-running a gig with as close to job security in entertainment as you can get - they need a serious reality check.

Grow up, boys. Not to mention, if it were two women who behaved that way, for sure their behavior wouldn't be in a blind - it would be front-page how 'difficult' and 'ungrateful' they were.

  5. I love what Jimmy Fallon did with the Tonight show. i think he is a really fun host. He might be much different to be around in person, though, given his issues.

  6. Two of the most unfunny people on television.

  7. And Colin and Michael, what do they have going for them career-wise other than SNL and in Colin's case, who he happens to be dating? Keep burning those bridges, guys. Very intelligent tactic.

  8. Never even heard of these guys before. Good job pissing off rigged award shows I guess?

  9. BTW, still waiting to hear about the Oscar host.

Sooooo, who wants to be second choice?

  10. I hear Louis C.K. is available.

  11. @Brayson87 LOL! Well, at least the ratings would be good. People from both sides of the political aisle would be hate-watching.

  12. @Nutty, I'd even watch to see if he jerked off onto the audience lol

  13. The Hollywood Reporter has a big piece today suggesting that ABC may have to strong-arm someone into being host, maybe Kimmel again or someone with a Disney movie out now, like Lin-Manuel Miranda and Emily Blunt.

They end up with a big pitch for John Legend and Chrissy Teigen however, suggesting that John would want to do it to celebrate his new EGOT.

Jesus and Oscar Host in the same year - wow.

  14. The Oscars used to be my Superbowl every year, I had to watch it. Then it became more and more of a platform for political bashing and PC-ness. And thn with the idiotic expansion of Best Picture to 10 movies. i haven't watched it in years now. The Academy Ward is an industry award that is supposed to honor best artistic achievement, not best box office and most popular. They should just let it go back to being an untelevised dinner party event.

  15. Yeah, I agree, Do Tell - let it lie fallow a few years and then re-invent itself.

Can't though - it provides most of the Academy's annual revenues.

  16. Michael Che is angry, seems like he's angry he has to hide his sexuality and hates most things in general, writes horrible, horrible jokes and is an ugly racist. I'm just amazed they keep him, Jones and Davidson and the Captain of the suck crew Thompson. He's gotten better but for Christ sake ya better after 14 seasons. What a shit show most of the time though to see fucking Davidson have a drug induced psychotic episode in his head while cameras are rolling. I'm glad idiots like these are stripping television of it's allure and illusory properties.

Fuck all you entitled acting NYC dirtbags.

  17. I'm still gonna speculate Will Smith for Oscars Host.

  18. Was one of Che's demands that Scarjo pretend she's dating Jost for a year? Because that's a conspiracy that would explain a lot.

  19. Being an entitled NYC dirtbag keeps me warm at night bro, don't be so quick to drink that Haterade.

Love Kenan. He and Aidy are the best things on SNL right now. Lorne Michaels has kept Kenan around for 16 seasons.

  21. If you haven't checked out Michael Che's insta stories you really must. He is so funny and smart, and he really has a great understanding of how fake everything is. He only posts words to read, which I like. He called all self righteous blogger ladies "Megan", and you can tell he has a big heart most of the time.

  22. Seriously... Aidy, Cecily and Kenan are gems. Why not make all of them host? Imagine: Actually laughing again when watching an award show! I liked when Tina and Amy hosted, and Jimmy Kimmel was good too. For the Oscars... give Helen Mirren and Samuel L. Jackson a case of champagne and let the games begin. They'd slay it.

    @theotherginger

Cecily is fabulous. Great actress. Huge asset to SNL. You never hear a bad word about Cecily. She keeps her private life private.
Her "Girl You Wish You Hadn't Talked To At A Party". One of my favorite sketches ever
