Blind Item #14 - BAFTA

This foreign born A list mostly movie actor all of you know also has a comic book franchise in addition to his regular movie duties. Apparently the life event going on with his "wife" was of no concern as he partied until dawn without her even though he wasn't even nominated for anything.

  7. "life event going on with his 'wife' was of no concern" Jeez I thought it was going to be that she was getting passed around by men there like a party favor lol

  10. I don’t consider this a scandalous state of affairs. I’d encourage my husband to do the same.

  12. @Ladylaw- you'd be ok if your husband went out partying while you stayed home with 2 children under 4 plus a newborn? Or 2 children under 4 while you're about ready to pop? You're a better woman than many.

    1. Zebra - I have a 5yo and a 2yo and I’m currently pregnant. I also have a live-in nanny, and my mom and dad live 40 min away and help out when needed. My husband travels all the time for work and family trips, and doesn’t bother me. If I was home with the kids by myself and pregnant, then it would be really difficult. But I have people to help out, so it’s fine if he needs to travel. I would imagine Benedict Cumberbatch’s wife has some kind of nanny or help since he’s traveling frequently for work.

  13. Zebra yes. It's not a life sentence having a family. And sometimes spouses take the night off for blowing off steam. I think American women are really preoccupied with having equality in a weird way. Like if she has to stop drinking a glass of wine during pregnancy, so does he. That's not what equality means in my book.

Mischi i agree with you.. i dont get the whole if im sick, or pregnant or not in the mood to do something my partner has to do it too.. im fine letting my boyfriend go do things on his own.. in fact i encourage it... i like the alone time sometimes and its healthy to still have your own life too

  17. Oh yeah, isn't making your husband as miserable as you are the secret to a healthy happy marriage? He's never going to get the gumption to tie that rope around the doorknob or wrap his toes around the trigger to make you a young widow without those little extra "nudges" ;)

  18. I completely agree that married couples don't have to be joined at the hip. It just seems odd that a man so famously protective of his family would leave his either heavily pregnant wife home with two toddlers or would leave his wife home with two toddlers and a newborn.

Remember this? “I’ve become a father and a husband, and in the right order – just! I might go for a Cumber-batch of boys!…” the actor joked. “I’m always in a rush to get back (home). It’s everything.”

  19. First off, no one as fugly as Cumbersnatch gets roles from his eclat as an actor. Going to parties is how he "auditions"(He can probably fit those square watermelons from Japan by now). Plus, HE"S A BRITISH ACTOR!!! They don't cum in snatches. Jeebus Kristallnacht, there isn't a gag reflex in all of Royal England left in the male population. These kids of his are IVF's and the donor is a long dead Duke of Poleditch or some such, his purity of essence in a long deep freeze, thawed out because the quota for reanimated inbreed royals needs to be reached soon because their immune systems are somewhat brittle, clearly.

  21. I'm sure the Cumbersomes have a nanny option while daddy plays away. Let's not go full cinderella on the blind.

  22. I am so confused are they both gay or is one of them gay?

  23. If it wasn't for the comic book franchise part I would've guessed Redmayne

  24. The co-owner's wife of his company was awarded BAFTA. So, BC celebrated his talented friends. She's the art director of The Favorite and isn't incompetent like his wife.

  25. LOL Aeltri sure came running at top speed to CDAN to submit this, didn't she?

Gotta work harder on the creative writing skills, Aeltri. "Man goes to work event." Where's the drugs? The Satanism? The international human trafficking? We've come to expect more from you. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  26. Cumberbatch. Doesn't matter if they have a nanny or not but it's just a common sense to be at home with kids especially with one closer to due date or a newborn and not be at some event until 5am. But, it's a sham marriage so I guess Cumberbatch is at the point where he doesn't care much with keeping up appearances.

  27. What Mawi said. I'm sure that the cumberbatches have a nanny. Maybe even a live in nanny.

I haven't seen one person on here say that he's never allowed to go have fun, but it's sketchy af to be out partying (even for a "work" thing) until 5am when his wife just had a baby. Or is about to have a baby. Especially since he's been talking about the joys of fatherhood and how he can't be away from his kids, even for a weekend while he's filming on the other side of the planet.

His actions aren't matching what his mouth has been saying.
