Back in the day this actor was A+ list. Mostly movies. He had a franchise that was long running and one that was shorter. Comic actor. He also had one of the first really funny viral videos. Anyway, some people recognized him last night and he signed and posed for photos and it almost seemed like he was going to invite everyone to dinner with him because he was so happy about being recognized.

ReplyDeleteYou'd have to know what Randy Quaid's triggers were before hanging out with him. He is probably great fun to be around unless that particular crazy comes out. The problem is we only get to see short seconds of his real life so you just cannot tell how bad it really is.

ReplyDeleteYou have to go far back to realize that Quaid had a supporting role in a
pair of bona fide classics from the 1970s, namely The Last Picture Show and The Last Detail, which also starred Jack Nicholson.
That might have given him A+ status, at least for a few years.
Also, Texasville (1990) is the sequel to Picture Show, and it sees him resuming his role from the first film, so technically that is a franchise. (The National Lampoon's Vacation movies would be the other.)
