ReplyDeleteI think ENTY is embellishing wildly. Yes, Maria is foreign born and rumored to be gay. However she has also been in America since she was seven years old and unlikely to be linked to the Kremlin. As for "foreign sponsors", she is raking in just less than $10MM a year from Nike!

She moves a lot way more money and brings more money than Serena Williams to the sport. And none of them, nor Federer and Nadal came close to move the amount of money (ratings, sponsors, sales) the chinese player Na Li did for the WTA.
