Blind Item #7

Another day, another story about how this A- list mostly movie actor is deserving of winning awards this movie season to try and get the subject changed from the disgraced director and the lack of statements about it coming from the actor.

Rami/Singer. There was a DM article about how sad he is that his dad isn't around to see the movie.

  2. So Malek is mostly movie now?

What other movies was he in? I only know him from Mr Robot and The Pacific.

  3. Why are they even trying anymore?? Like give it a rest, Malek is going to win no matter what and will have succeeded with his lies.

There will be no surprise for best actor. It’s over. The Academy doesn’t care.

  4. I just saw BR last night -- am I the only person in the world who thinks that Rami's performance was good but not great? I definitely did not think it's Oscar-worthy. I'm amazed and how the guy is a lock for the Oscar. What am I missing???

    1. There’s a formula and set ingredients for what makes a Oscar-bait, and “great” anything isn’t one.

  5. Wasnt he in the second night at the museum?

  6. Singer still want his film to win

  7. Both Fox and big name producer Graham King want the oscar as well and hollywood rewards proftiable movies. A no-brainer. Just saw Vice, i thought Chritian Bale was as good but he has already won.

  8. Oh please, Rami, take it to Lip Sync Battle. The Oscars should be for well-fleshed out good performances, not impressions.

  9. He was in the last Twilight.

  10. @Redhead — yep, he was the Egyptian prince. My daughter & I thought he was cute. And he was! I swear, his eyes weren’t so buggy.

    He sold out.
It is no different than JLaw and Weinstein. Or any other sell-out. Throwing your ethics out the window for Fame.

I'm sorry but from what I see from the trailers of Bohemian Rhapsody I am not a fan. Freddie Mercury may have had an overbite, and English teeth, but he did not look like a Goblin. He would be mortified to see himself portrayed the away Malik does it.

  13. Mostly Movie actor? If anything he’s 50/50 when it comes to tv and films. Not until BohRap was he known as a film actor and not until Mr. Robot was he known for a tv actor despite working on the series The Pacific and the Wat at home when in his 20’s (playing a teen), and yes he did star in an independent film as well as major movie franchises but had no name recognition.

I do believe his performance as Freddie Mercury is wonder and worthy of an Oscar.

Brian May and Graham King arwnthe ones that should be questioned about the hiring and instance of Singer directing the film.

  14. I remember when watching the Pacific (he was pretty good it it, to be fair) googling the guy he played to see if he was as weird looking as Malik.

Let's just say Malik looks like Channing Tatum in comparison. Some kairey looking motherfuckers come out of the Bayous, that's for sure.

    1. Yeah prove those mean reviewers who said you “weren’t uglified enough” wrong, Bradley. I’m always for the underdog.

  16. I read that there has been more campaigning this year than any other awards season. When were the votes due in? I have quite a few friends who are rooting fot ASIB. I am NOT a Cooper fan, but do admire him learning how to honestly sing for the movie vs. lip sync. That is my only Oscar tidbit as my hubby falls asleep in movies so we only go to movies once a year, if that.

  17. Malek's eyes look buggy because he's got large lower eye lids. He needs to use the same plastic surgeon that Taylor Swift or the Olsen twins used. That said, he needs to speak out against Singer or forever be a douche.

oscar voting closes tomorrow, its the last day.

Malek lied so blatantly. I can't support him winning. He probably will win tho, bc hollywood is a morally bankrupt dumpster fire. it seems particularly insidious coming from Malek, who really does a convincing 'aww shucks', endearing type. hope he never has kids bc he cared more about his oscar than the kids his director drugged&raped.

  19. Rami is not a shoe in and I don't know what is making anyone say that.

  20. same @bubbles. I think the movie could've delved a bit deeper.

  21. I hope the members of the academy are there cheering and throwing their panties on stage every time that pedo created movie wins some award, reveal them for what they really are.
