One of the parents of this former MTV star wants to file paperwork to get custody of their grandchild but is afraid of being cut off financially so has done nothing, despite them knowing the grandchild is in danger.

I'll go with Farrah, since it says "one of the parents", and Jenelle only has a mom. Hopefully someone saves that girl from Farrah and her yachting trips etc. Though Debra and Michael are both horrible, they are better than their daughter.

In their defense, it is extremely difficult to prove and the plan may backfire. It happened in my family and it happens all the time. It's a thin line you need to walk, because at the end of the day, grandparents do NOT have any legal "rights" at all. So the court will always try siding with the parent, when at all possible. They may not only run into financial jeopardy, but they may also run into the problem of being cut off completely from the child's life and then they can't even be close enough to try and keep an eye on things.
It can't be Chinelle because (unfortunately) she's not a FORMER Teen Mom. It's Farrah, who has done some very questionable parenting lately. Like posting a video of her young daughter in her underwear, been extremely wasted with her daughter with her daughter in her care in public, taken her daughter on escorting trips to the Middle East instead of school......
Those Teen Mom girls need to have their celeb status revoked, the producers need to put a year's salary in a trust fund for each child (untouchable until 21+), a partial severance salary to each "mom" to use during the decompression from celeb stage, and then the shop needs to close. Project Failed, Shitshow of a Shit Show!
For another option, what about Ronnie from Jersey Shore...he and wife(ex?) Seem very dysfunctional.
I'm thinking Farrah's dad. Her Mom married a doctor, so I doubt she's depending on Farrah. Probably her Dad who should go ahead considering shes being sued she's probably going broke.
@Count, Good point, maybe she takes the daughter because there is no one safe to leave her with. Still it's only a matter of time before some client offers Farrah an extra $500K for a sportsman's double, if it hasn't happened already.
