Blind Item #10

Apparently this former A list mostly movie actress turned host was close to death at one point about three weeks ago. She is slowly getting better.

  5. Whoopi has the EGOT. I'd say that's permanent A+

  6. OT:

    R. Kelly's lawyer from his 2008 trial is dying of cancer and wants everyone to know Kelly was 'guilty as hell'

  8. That's really sad about Whoopi, she used to be so funny back in the day.

  9. Totally OT but did anyone see Jennifer Carpenter on Kelly & Ryan this morning? She looked very skinny and unhealthy, even by her standards (and a little out of it too). Haven't there been several blinds lately about skinny actresses/eating disorders and everyone keeps guessing Sarah Hyland, Anna Faris, etc. - maybe some of these could be Jennifer?

  10. I went septic with pneumonia a few months ago. I was almost dead, they had me on 7 IV antibiotics and kept me in isolation for 9 days. Then another 4. Then another nine. It was crazy as I hadn't been in the hospital since I had my son in 91, and I basically spent September there. Because of the hospitalization and immobility I developed blood clots and then had embolisms. IT was a nightmare. Strangest thing was that my getting ill was so incremental I almost didn't know how sick I was. I just felt worse every day. Only when I couldn't even keep water down with a 103 fever did I go to the hospital. I have major issues with "health care" but will spare you details. Glad to be alive and hate to be on blood thinners.

  11. @Tracypants - that's entirely possible, she's always been too skinny - probably in an attempt to be more attractive which, well - being skinnier doesn't change your face past what it is.

Raven - great link - nothing like a little cancer to bring out the truth, let's hope there is more revelations in years to come - for everyone!

  13. Whoopie would be referred to as an EGOT!

I think it's someone who doesn't have awards.

  16. Momo, you have been through some awful illness, glad you’re okay. My husband experienced a similar episode of pneumonia and blood clot, and he passed away after one month in the hospital.

He was young and healthy. Thought he had the flu until he fainted, and we had ambulance take him to hospital.

    Rest In Peace “Sweetie”

i understand where your coming from about "Health care".I was laid up for a week treating a bad muscle sprain.Painful on upper side of my back. All of a sudden I was so short of breath couldn't go 10 ft without heart racing and sounding like a obscene phone caller.Went to er,Pulmonary embolisms all in my lungs.Dr was amazing I was alive.I have been on blood thinners and still sleep with oxygen since end of July.Years ago ,I arrived at ER and would have died within the hour.Kidneys were shutting down.I had no idea I was even sick ! I came home early from work, just wanted to sleep, back then I never slept much.Tried taking a shower to "wake up" started shivering, teeth chattering.Hubby took me right to er as I was saying "I m fine". I had walking pneumonia, and reg pneumonia also had no idea ,thank God hubby knows when to take me to Er.Hope your doing great !

  20. Donna- So sorry about your hubby, may he RIP.💗
Bitchy Woman- Happy youre ok, and that youve got a good guy looking out for you!
Momo- I, too, had sepsis and double pneumonia. 103 fever with teeth chattering and full on delirium. Iv antibiotics, week of hospital. Seems minor compared to your battle, but it was brutal.

Dont be afraid to get checked out, be grateful for what's right with your health, and love the bejeezus out of the good people and creatures in your life!😍

  23. So sorry about your loss Donna!! Glad your on the road to recovery @ Bwoman and vita. If u are over 50, they have a pneumonia shot that is administered 2x in 6 months. I just recovered from type A flu and had the worst chills and fever despite the flu shot. Tamiflu worked really well but was in a horrible mood. Speedy recovery to all

  24. Thank you, sweet Sd Auntie, Vita, and Weekittylass for your kindness. He passed away December 6, 2016, and I still can't believe it some times.

Your health truly is your wealth, everyone. My husband didn't want to go to the doctor because of his $3800.00 a year deductible. Of course, that amount of money is nothing comparatively...

    1. I am so sorry for your loss, that is truly heartbreaking. The date you posted caught my eye, Dec 6 is my birthday. My mother is currently fighting for her life in the hospital with pneumonia and influenza + an added staph infection they gave her there. She's been in almost 3 weeks. She argued with me for days before agreeing to go in. It's been a non stop roller coaster ride. I wish you continued healing and peace.
