Blind Item #8

This former A list syndicated actor who walked away from a hit television show back in the day because he thought he could be a huge star must be really desperate & broke. He’s got some shady middleman sending out cold call emails to the financial industry like a Nigerian Prince, using his name, begging for “funding his indie projects”

Like he’s be particularly gentlemanly though:((

  10. Yeah, I'm thinking David Caruso too - or Michael Chiklis? Dennis Franz?

  11. David Caruso fits the blind. I think Zebra Seasonings got this one.

  14. Natalie — 1988 me is very impressed!! Nicely done!! 👍🏼 PS did you guys meet at a club? blind date? inquiring minds ...)

  15. Well, Paris, THAT would really make her confession embarrassing, lol!

Natalie--agreeing with Kelli grrl--- would love the whole story!😊

  16. Caruso was network, not syndicated (NYPD Blue, CSI). This is someone from Baywatch, Star Trek, that kind of thing.

  17. Veronica, Hobie was Jeremy Jackson's name on Baywatch.

    :)

  18. Hobie was Jeremy Jackson character on Baywatch. I hate myself for knowing this. Charvet is going through a divorce so might need some money.

  19. LOL MD ... +1

i didn't know it. i had to look it up.

  20. Because of the "syndicated" clue, I was thinking Kevin Sorbo, but i think hes stayed active. David Charvet might fit, too...recently divorced and making films.

  21. David Caruso will always be known more from his dumb career decision than for anything else, even though he ended up in a CSI show. Shelley Long was probably more than happy to pass the "I Stupidly Walked Away From A Hit Show" crown to him.

I love how out-of-work actors always claim to need "funding" for "projects" .
Why not just admit you got bills to pay?

    ReplyDelete
  23. David Caruso had that CSI moneymaker show after, unless he gambled, snorted, divorced that money away, not him.

  24. Noah Wylie walked away from ER and Librarians.

  25. @ kelli grrrl @ Vita @ Tricia13
I saw him at a dive bar called The Little Knight. He was playing a video game. Told my friend that he looked very familiar. Started talking to him and realized who he was. He was all punk rocked out with the stupid chain bracelets and necklaces. Was wearing Dickeys pants. I was like 23 and he was 18. Ended up back at his friends house around the corner. We just hung out and drank then hooked up. I spent the night and went home in the morning. I think everyone there was on Meth and Ecstacy. NoT ME!
I did hang again one other time I went to a club with him and a some chick.
Now i guess he is sober and lives in Huntington beach.
Not that juicy but it's all Ive got.
I also kissed Murphy from the band Sugar Ray.
I live in orange County ca and a lot of stars are here.

  26. @ Tricia13 People see her all the time. Like at costco. Her work is only 9 miles away. Maybe I'll drive by when Im near and snap a pic for you.

  27. I wish we had a Costco here. But we only have Sams Club. Which is nice, but I grew up going to Costco so I miss it!

  28. Topher Grace? Walked away from "That 70's Show" back in the day to star in a Spiderman movie but then went nowhere.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Again, "syndicated". "That 70's Show" was network. And Topher Grace was just in a Best Picture nominee so I think he's fine.

    1. Network shows can and often do move into syndication deals. That 70s Show was network, but is now in syndication.

  31. Likewise Caruso starred in network shows - "NYPD Blue" and "CSI Miami".

  32. Ive been a reader for about a year but have never commented. Topher Grace? He left that 70s show. He use to go to parties around here back in the day and was extremely full of himself.

  33. David Chokachi from baywatch?

    ReplyDelete
  34. If it hadn't said "back in the day" I'd guess Rami Malek. Won't be long for him though.
