Blind Items Revealed #2
Another way to steal money from people is that "deposit." The car company compares it to a personal seat license. The money you pay gives you the right to purchase a car. Sounds like another class action is coming.

Several people in the neighborhood own Tesla's, as it is the new status symbol in this eco-friendly blue state of mine. I have to laugh sometimes as apparently being "on trend" as it is known is more important than buying a car from a lunatic
Isn't that the same for other kinds of deposits? House deposits reserve the house, but if you don't buy it, you lose the deposit. What am I missing?
In this case you don’t even lose the deposit, it’s fully refundable.
No idea what Enty’s problem with it is or why he imagines it will result in a class action. Anyone who decides they don’t want the car after all can just cancel their order and get their deposit back.
Allow me to help you with a non real estate item:
Don't buy a Tesla!
Once the company goes belly up, you'll be stuck with a car you can't service.
Ugh now even buying a car is some type of political statement? 🙄
I have a friend who had a deposit for almost 2 years. I told her in the fall not to buy the car and get her money back before it was too late. She says she got it back.
I've only seen a few of these where I live. One of the VP's I work with said he did go test drive one, and it was pretty cool, but he a Land Rover instead.
Remember the Prius?
Oh yeah good point fnchrstphr. The Tesla must’ve replaced them because I haven’t seen any in a while.
I put down a deposit and later asked for it to be refunded. It was wired to my account the same day.
Enty's just got a hardon for tesla. She's been trying to short the stock for ages and completely failed so she's trying some different angles.
