This foreign born A- list mostly movie actor, who is still loved by the A+ list actress was asked as a personal favor to another A+ lister to walk the red carpet with the guy the A+ lister calls her boyfriend. It gets attention and saves a lot of awkward questions about who they are.

ReplyDeleteWhen will Taylor Swift come out? When Karlie Kloss married her merkin, that Kushner fella, it nearly killed her. I see JLaw is s fun kinda gal - up for anything. Stunts on the red carpet, too.
ReplyDeleteBecause they co-starred in The Favourite and shared a lot of scenes. They hardly need Jen Lawrence to act as a go-between.I assume the PR folks for the film set up the red carpet aappearances.
ReplyDeleteTaylor called in a favor because I imagine hanging out with Alwyn is like going to a baseball game. It’s boring, you can only drink so much beer to make it tolerable, and you definitely don’t want a weiner.

ReplyDeleteI think it's worse for Alwyn being paraded around by her like a circus animal in a cage and being ridiculed by people like us for being a bad beard. Ask Calvin how that worked for him.

ReplyDeleteHoult was great but alwyn sucked in that movie, the twink has no talent and is getting parts out of the bearding. Frankly they looked more like a real couple than swift ever did with her beards. Unless he goes the casting couch route, i can't see much of a career for him after the contract ends. He is pure oatmeal/vanilla ice-cream.

ReplyDeleteHoult was awesome in the Favourite for sure. I was even surprised by Emma Stone (she was fantastic!), and definitely thought Olivia Colman deserved that Oscar. I thought that Alwyn was a bit out of place in the movie. He's good-looking but that's about it. His character didn't really have any dimension or range. It just seemed odd that the cast had this huge retinue of talented actors/actresses and then you have Joe.
