Blind Item #11

What previously blinded writer/director who is mentioned in a very glowing way in Variety today not only asked for sex in return for professional "favors" like jobs or parts but actually taunted women who declined his offer. He is known for texting and emailing women about having blown their chance at success by not having sex with him.

  7. Yeah he's a shite, but I do give him credit for not hiring shills or goading his stans to defend him on CDAN like every other fanboy wetdream director that gets a blind here.

  8. And Tim Minear was the true talent behind Firefly.

  10. Except the Whedon article doesn't especially say anything nice about him. The Del Toro article has this, "After “The Shape of Water” went on to win several Oscars, including best picture and best director for del Toro, the auteur decided to hold off on picking his next directing gig, only focusing his efforts as a producer on the Searchlight movie “Antlers.”"
I don't want it to be either of them, but really not Del Toro.

  11. If he's dumb enough to text or email women saying they blew it by not boning him, why wouldn't they ruin him by sharing the texts/emails?

  12. @Nonya, He was probably smart enough to text things like "could have been you" or "shame we couldn't work together well off to the next interview with so and so," etc. He wasn't texting "You shouldasuckd ma dickyokudumbbroad now you're nevere eva beinge a starr." Or maybe he just texted in ambiguous emoji, 😉🍆=$

  13. previously blinded

Blindness would explain much of what comes out of Hollywood these days and . . oh, wait, I see, that's not what that means. Well, never mind then (though I think my original point still has merit).

  14. del toro is mainly known as an actor, not a writer or director

  15. The Shape of Water was Guillermo del Toro, not benicio

  16. Who would have known there were TWO del Toro's in the world? Ironic ain't it?
