This foreign born A- list dual threat actor who once starred in a soon to be defunct hit pay cable show and has some other television hits and a big movie coming out soon had been closeted. I guess he just blew that door wide open.
That seems about right since those pics came out with that guy from that awful HBO show that made no sense. I forgot the name but he played some special needs character that came off rather offensive. It might hurt Richard's chance for playing Bond if he is still interested. That GQ profile earlier this year implied he is a ladies man but that could be a cover or he is bi-sexual. Anyway who cares, come out and be happy Robb Stark!

He can kiss a franchise career over now though. The weird thing is that they were staring at the cameras like whatever. I wondered if it was hype for the new Elton John movie.

He's a good actor, charming, will be interesting if this does blow his chances or not. By the time they make a casting decision on the Bond after next Bond, a half dozen other names will pass in and out of the running anyway. I don't see this affecting other work.
+1 @vita -- the way he stepped out of closet seems to be sending the message is not interested in the hyper masculine franchise roles like Bond or the super hero roles. Or maybe he is sensing a shift in attitude at the studios towards casting gay men in those roles and he is making it known that he is available.

And, I do remember ENTY mentioning Richard now that I think about it....ENTY implied that he was cheating on his gf with fans and that is why they broke up. Maybe that is not the only reason...he was cheating on her with men too.
Also, China is still very anti- gay and many franchises recap their losses/ make most of their huge gains in China. But, Marvel hinted about casting their first out superhero soon. Who knows?
Still it is proven that even straight women turn away from gay men as the romantic lead once they are outed. Maybe he does not care. Just weird he just moved to Hollywood for more roles when they are way more accepting in England of out stars.
I liked him in GOT but as Bond? That's hysterical unless the new Bond is meant to be short and plebian looking. I read that Sam Heughan hired an internet scrubbing company to clean up his online presence for the same reason.

Not going to lie I have only like Daniel Craig in Casino Royale. Even then, he has never been Bond to me. Pierce in Goldeneye will always be my favorite Bond movie lol. Also, Henry was up for Bond same as Daniel Craig, but, they thought Henry was just too young at the time. My money is on him. I just want him to be more Bond and less " Jason Borne" which I have always felt Daniel's "Bond" has been. Looking forward to hearing who they cast though.

I didn't even like Heughan as Jamie in Outlander. I know how rabid Outlander fans can be but I didn't like either Heughan or Balfe. Liked the Outlander books quit watching the Outlander series after the first season.

Richard Madden. He did a photoshoot as walking out of a closet. Literally. I think he is Bi. I have seen him around pubs in London and he is charming and flirty with girls. Plus he was with Jenna in a bonafide relationship.
@prixie - thanks for the added info of the photo shoot. I thought enty was referencing the pap photos of him and Brandon walking around LA. He is probably bi unless all the talk of him cheating on his girlfriends with woman sent out by his publicist.
@lookslikeCricci --- He is definitely attractive but it depends on the angle. He is a huge smoker and I think it affects the fullness of his face and makes him gaunt looking in the eyes and cheeks. I noticed in Bodyguard whenever he was standing next to a woman, you can really see his small stature. the costumes in GOT can make people seem more girthy. I noticed this about Kit too while watching SNL. Depending on how Richard and Kit are photographed, there size is not noticeable unless someone is nearby to give scale.
@JT, in the latest season of GoT, you definitely notice Kit's height more than in different seasons, where they put him in situations that didn't have him standing next to people directly that much. In S7, there are scenes where he's standing next to his sister Sansa, and she's noticeably taller, but listings put her at only 1 inch taller IRL - bunk. Madden is regular height, around 5'10", I think, and his height didn't really stand out that much.
@Pearl -- 5'10 isn't short really. He worked with some tall women in the Bodyguard then. I like that. I am tall myself. I like to see more tall women in significant roles that aren't size 0 models and are not be cast as freaks of nature.
@Ann. I only lasted one season of Outlander as well! I really did try. I just don't "get" the whole Sam thing. He is "straight up" balding. Plus, I do not think he translated very well to American audiences given how poorly his and Mila Kunis's movie did, "The Spy who Loved Me" or something like that. I just don't see him as a lead romantic type. But, to each their own I guess. lol
Definitely Richard Madden it will be a big if he came out but disagree he is A list. In Hollywood I think Madden is a solid B because he was unknown until the bodyguard. Now he won a golden globe which was a huge upset his profile in Hollywood has gone up. It would be NICE if Richard came out. In the UK I think the British are open minded about homosexuality and male bisexuality.
