ReplyDeleteLouis CK is making a living in the stand up circuit. The scandal resulted in him getting smaller crowds and rooms, but at the top of his fame, he was making a ton of money.
Sure, it's technically possible that Amy Poehler would give him some gig behind the scenes to punch up scripts, but most of the shows she has produced, like Broad City, are written by women who are very vocal about social causes (they got Comedy Central to ban FuckJerry as a sponsor), and would speak about C.K.'s involvement if they hear about it.
Besides, it's bullshit that Poehler has always given work to C.K. He appeared in six episodes of Parks and Rec, the final time being in 2012. She was featured in one of his specials from 2013. Otherwise, the both of them hadn't been credited together in anything between 2013 and the time he was exposed for his behavior in 2017.
The source for these blinds obviously hates Amy Poehler. That's why we periodically get the same story over and over. But Poehler has access to a ton of comedians and has zero need to be associated with C.K.
Another story, in the comments, that's bullshit is that Silverman is a C.K. supporter. She was one of his friends, but she was actually one of the first personalities to comment on the situation and to acknowledge the harm he had done to others.
@ Angela - Liberal comedians don't need to be "smeared"... They have exposed themselves as the filthy disgusting hypocrites that they are all by themselves over the last couple of years.
