Blind Item #7

Still no offers for work for this former A- list mostly television actress from a hit pay cable show she walked away from. She thought she was going to be a huge movie star but the launch movie crashed and burned in a huge way.

  5. What was the movie? Cold Pursuit or one that never made it to production?

  6. Ellen is STILL on GA. And Emmy Rossum (while I am not looking up this minute) had a blind not far back about her NOT even getting offers since leaving SHAMELESS so HOW is she already bombing? I liked Emmy on SHAMLESS but she is cardboard wooden. She is one note to me. That doe eyed acting. Over the top antics she pulled off. I wish her well but don't see her at ALL becoming a huge star. Maybe line those puppies up BEFORE you bail?

    1. I think she is super talented but more for tv than movies. I feel the same about George Clooney and Jon Hamm.

  7. Maybe this means she jumps back into another show where she takes her clothes off all the time. Works out for the best.

    1. Watch the shameless episode where monica kills herself. Emmy rossum deserved an emmy, she was powerful in that episode.

  8. There aren't that many "hit pay cable tv shows," so who walked away from one and had a launch movie crash and burn?

and leaving a hit show to become a movie star worked for rami malek even tho enty had multiple blinds saying it wouldnt work out for him and he wouldnt even be nominated (wrong, wrong).
malek decided to not do a season 5 and instead finish up the show at season 4.
now he is the bond villain and is becoming a major movie star.

  10. Malek's best role was as the creature in The Shape of Water, his fish eyes finally paid off.

  11. Cold Pursuit was never going to be a huge movie but it's not her fault it bombed as badly as it did. So maybe that's taken into account for her future

  12. I think Emmy is gorgeous, and amazing in Shameless. But that may be as far as shes able to go..?
I hope to see her succeed with more roles though.

  13. Rami's movie career is yet to be determined beyond the one big film and fluke Oscar win.

Halle Berry also won an Oscar. What's she doing these days aside from Revlon ads? How about Roberto Benigni? Adrien Brody?

  14. This happens all the time yet their egos are so big they think they will be The exception

And the story about Rami Malek forcing Mr. Robot to end after season 4 is also most likely bullshit.
Sure, creator Sam Esmail reportedly had a five season arc when he started the show. But the ratings wouldn't have supported this plan anyway. The show has gone from 1.4m viewers on average during season 1 to 0.5m during season 3. Sure, a lot of people may stream it or watch it on DVD, but USA actually canceled shows that had higher ratings. For instance, Colony was canceled even if ratings were around 0.7m for season 3.

Mr. Robot was most likely allowed a final season, even if it may have forced Esmail to rush a few stories (but he may have decided to wrap it in four seasons on his own), because he had a motivated fanbase and very positive reviews. People would have been dissatisfied if there hadn't been a proper ending.

  17. Has anyone seen Emmy Rossum in Beautiful Creatures? 2013 movie...not the greatest movie but she was the best thing in it. Couldnt believe it was her in that role when I looked it up....
