When I first heard what this A- list mostly television actor was doing, I was skeptical. Then, I found out why he was doing it, and I understood his motivation, but still wasn't 100% a believer. It turns out the local task force that deals with drugs in that city is a believer though because they have given the actor multiple citations/awards for his efforts. The actor films in a northern city on one of those shows that all seem the same. Apparently about two years ago, the actor had a girlfriend who was addicted to heroin and our actor didn't know it. He found out about it when the 15 year old sister of the girlfriend overdosed on some heroin. The girlfriend then just withdrew into herself and was lost to a world of drugs and nothing else mattered. I don't know if our actor was feeling Charles Bronson like or something, but wanted to help. He knew who the drug dealer was that supplied the dose that killed the sister. So, he went to the police and said he would be willing to make a controlled buy. He did and they busted the dealer. Since then, our actor has always been willing to be a decoy and make controlled buys. He has made dozens of them over the past two years.

ReplyDeletei think it's vancouver, there's tons of drugs up there. and yeah, stephen amell has been cheating for a long time. i'm sure he's had a few hookups but the only real "girlfriend" he's had is his costar, who doesn't have a sister... although the costar has had her troubles. kj apa seems like he wouldn't give a shit, cole sprouse either. grant gustin idk about. his personal life is/was a mess, but maybe he would want to help someone? i don't see it being him either, though tbh. i hope we don't find out either. this should be kept secret.

Obviously it's a cop/whatever show. And it's not some white bread kid or someone really famous they're sending out on controlled buys, it's someone who can blend into the environment.

ReplyDeleteIt's total crap. No insurance company would back an actor responsible for ratings and ad rates going into a criminal containment zone to sting career criminals. This is one of those ad-ons from "real life" that enhance the mystique of these lousy cop shows. Makes the show seem more "real" when, in fact, no case in the world would ever unfold the way they do on the TV. PR move, nothing more.
