Blind Item #12

Don't believe the hype. This foreign born former two franchise actor is on a short list but his team tried to force the studio into giving him the job with their PR push yesterday. The foreign born actor who has a current box office bomb is still the odds on favorite.

He’d make a terrible Bruce Patman.

  4. Robert Pattinson for Batman. No idea on the second actor.

  5. No glittery skin Batman!

  6. I've not seen Robert Pattison in anything where I've remotely thought he was good. Unless there was something I missed?

  7. If R Pat is Batman, then there's got to be a Robin!

  8. If it's RPat...what's the second franchise? He only has one...

  9. @Unknown

    Harry Potter?
Only one I can think of.

  10. Rpat is harry potter and twilight

also if you have been sleeping on him lately, yall missing out. the guy is absolutely killing it in the indie scene. Good Time, The Rover, Lost City of Z ...all of his Cronenerg and most recently High Life.

He has become one of the best actors around right now.

  11. @filmfan.

After reading the book, which was wonderful, I really wanted to give the movie a try. But it came out, sank without trace and is hard to find...for free anyway.

Is it worth paying for? Because the actual true story of it is as incredible and interesting as anything I've ever read.

  12. Damn, the only DC properties with any chance of success right now are, Aqua Man, Wonder Woman and the crown jewel of DC, Batman. How would Rpatz look standing wit WW and Aqua Man? Dont do it DC, we begggggggggg of you!

  13. The Lost City of Z is what I'm talking about.
I can't believe I didn't write that in the preceding post.

  14. Why are they considering two betas for Batman?? The character is an alpha.

In the real world they would consider
Chris hemsworth or Brolin Jr... or really anyone else who isn’t effeminate, but they won’t because that wouldn’t fit the controlled narrative of trying to get the public to accept effeminate betas over alphas (not going to work). This is more crap from the cabal, ultimately; it’s all connected.

    1. You think Roger Moore was a masculine alpha?

And FYI, not all women drop their panties for toxic masculine 'roid necks types like Josh Brolin or Channing Tatum (vomit).

You should really talk to a professional about your effeminate beta male paranoia - it sounds like you have quite a complex!

  15. Do you ever think DC ever looks at Marvel and thinks, "Where the f*ck did we go wrong?"

  16. Someone from the production said that they wanted a " younger" Batman, so, Pattinson name left me surprised

Hope they choose Jack Connell, is is young and, by what i have seen on Money Monster, a really good actor

haven't seen enough of Hoult to judge but i find him...weird

I prefer Connell, not bc i care particularly about Batman, but bc i would like to see him more

  17. Jack O' Connell, pardon

  18. Not sure I believe it. Would anyone really try to force a studio, in this way?

  19. @Brayson, I think DC really blames 2007-08 writers strike more than anything else. Otherwise Batman vs Superman would have debuted on the screen in 2009-10, 2 years before avengers!

  20. This was the studio that floated his name to look at the reaction. It was quite negative so that K won't happen

    1. They went with Affleck after all the outrage... this time the reactions are more divisive.

  22. @Flashy Vic I really enjoyed the movie. It popped up on Netflix so I checked it out and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought. Think its quite an underated gem but I never read the book.
RPats short time on screen pretty much stole the show from everyone else.

To reference the other posts, this movie is going with a younger batman as its focusing on him being the worlds greatest detective which is a story line they havent really gone down before. Its going to be a very Noir approach and I think it could work. I hoping its an elseworld approach like the joker.

Jack O Connell is an amazing idea, so good in Starred Up.But I dont know, there is this dark mysteriousness to RPat that I think could work. Nicholas Holt is a good actor but only liked him in period movies. Like....the Favorite was exactly the kind of performances I think he should do.

  23. Rpatz will never be able to open a Batman movie, and even if he is the worlds greatest detective, he still is one of the worlds deadliest hand to hand combatants! Rpatz just doent have the look of BATMAN! it will kill the Batman brand for years to come like Clooney did for 10 years!

  24. Is Dark Phoenix a guaranteed bomb? Holt did extremely well in The Favourite. I hope he gets it.

  25. R P for Batman?! Ridiculous no matter how many steroids he took he doesn't have the body type

  26. I'm still rooting for Taylor-Johnson

  27. I may be one of the only ones who thinks he would be great. But then again, I have better taste than most.
Hes Better than Fatman Affleck fo sho

  28. Bale got the same reaction....so did Heath. We have had two recent misses with the casting. Now Pheonix as the Joker looks amazing so maybe....whoever is next will work

  29. Damn, after Batman comes out in 2022, it will again be rebooted in 2035? I hope I am still excited by that news!

  30. @Brayson

Probably not, but then I think the DC films are magnificent while the Marvel films are absolute trash for children and stupid people.

  34. I find it hard to believe that Pattinson is pushing that hard for a part in the superhero universe. The man loves his indies. While having him as Batman would be weird im pretty sure he could nail the part. He's a fantastic actor. Twilight wasnt a good representation of his talent. It was his foot in the door. Unfortunately Twilight sucked and thats what he is known for. If anyone has doubts i suggest watching his other films. You will be pleasantly surprised.

  35. Batman deserves better than the feminine R patz.
    Nicholas Hoult >>> RP

  36. Brolin Jr as Batman? I don't think so, he's far better as a villain, a role he can really sink his teeth into and not our "comic" hero.
