In the past, while the show was still airing, this foreign born A- list mostly television actress never even uttered a peep about her relationship/affair with her oft taken/now married co-star. Since the end of the show though, she has been pretty open in discussing their relationship. That has to be awkward for his now wife.

ReplyDeleteKit's a knucklehead...they showed behind the scenes of a scene where he and Emilia kiss, and in some of the lamest acting ever, after cut was yelled, he turned his head and said, "Yuck." Clearly joking, but no comedic effort whatsoever (I had thought he did a good job on SNL, so he's capable), just awkward and bizarre. The show then did some overdub commentary of it being bc it was like kissing his sister. The blog reading side of me knew it was more lame coverup attempt to hide past history, but he would have been better off just doing his job!
@James2051, now I am imagining the last scene where Tyrion is brought out by Greyworm and he says Westeros needs a new King, and in attendance are- Tywin Lannister, Olenna Tyrell, Margerie Tyrell, Lord Peter Baylish/Littlefinger and Oberyn Martell! How would that meeting have gone?

Folks are never satisfied. The last season could have used an extra episode or two, some of it felt rushed, but two movie quality battles isn't bad for six tv episodes.
ReplyDeleteI did like how they left it open for sequels. Just in case most of HBO's new shows crash and burn they can always hop back on with at least three mini sequels. No spoilers!

ReplyDeleteIn the interviews she's given in the past two weeks she has mentioned "affairs" twice, mentioned "having sex with Kit Harington" instead of "Jon Snow", when she was on SNL with Kit in April she joked "oh, hey, do you remember when we had sex in season 6?" to which Kit replies "yes" and she continues with "did you know they filmed that?", their characters didn't even meet or shared a scene until season 7. Was it a mistake, was it on purpose? The truth is, she didn't stay around until the end of the show, soon after that opening monologue she left, and then the following week didn't show up to the Graham Norton Show, which she was supposed to do with Kit, and last week both Kit and Emilia were scheduled to attend a charity event together, and also his wife Rose, and he didn't show up, only Emilia and Rose went. So, something is definitely going on. It's too many coincidences.
Also this from an interview she gave 2 years ago "Okay, so, famously — people know about this — you get a romantic couple onscreen, and chances are they’ve had sex. If they’re single, they will have, and sometimes when they’re not…
Actors are famous for—
—copulating with each other. So I’m not saying with the dragon, but there is this — half of that reason is that as an actor, you’re convincing yourself you’re in love with that person. And there’s a little bit of you, maybe, that is, or whatever it is, if you’re single and attracted to each other!"
It's not like she talks about Kit's abs every chance she gets in so many of her interviews, oh wait... she does.
So, yeah.
