Blind Item #8

This former A list singer who makes movies now too in addition to the A+ list band duties is making a movie about the House On St. Charles. For now. He says he found listening devices in his house and there are people parked in front of his house 24/7. He is being followed and is pretty sure someone tried to run him over too.

  1. This would have been more fun as Rob Zombie but I can't place the A+ list band duties.

  2. Following this blind - I have no idea who this could be

  4. He was a big star but fell, but has lucked into a gig as singer for some A+ list band that has reformed without its original lead singer ?

If it's HC JR. it could be serious. His dad was DA for 30 years, in fact the only one since Garrison for that long. There were rumors galore about Sr. leading a double life, but I have no first hand on that. I did get to meet Jr. when he was but a lad, 16 I think, he played in a music club I worked in. He was a nice boy who went to Jesuit. But I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't tail him all over the place just because his dad was DA for 30 years. I know nothing, just guessing based on description. Not too many singer cum actors that lived in that hood or ran in certain circles.

  7. HC Jr has been in movies since 1990, that's not recent

Glenn Danzig. Rejoining The Misfits for a tour, and just directed his first movie, Verotika, hence the "makes movies now, too."

    1. I really, really like this one

    2. I love Danzig and I love the Misfits but in no universe are they an A+ band.

  9. I can't see Danzig in the building as described in previous blinds. I keep thinking about the Audubon Hotel, but it closed years ago and isn't in the same hood, though it is also on St. Chuck.
ha that's an inside joke to me alone

  10. I can't see the Misfits as A+.

  11. @Melvin The Reanimated -
Good guess, but Danzig was never "A List" and the Misfits were/are definitely not "A+" band (except in the minds of underground goth kids). Whoever this is, they are obviously paranoid and maybe even a meth head. This might be Fred Durst, but I would hesitate to call him "A List" or Limp Bizkit "A+." However, they did rule (like it or not) for a few years in the Nineties.

  12. Adam Lambert with Queen? Not that many A+ list bands with different singers, if that's what it really is.

  13. Gerard Way? I know he's doing TV (Umbrella Academy) not sure about movies.

  14. Don't forget the also makes movies part.

  15. Trent Reznor is awesome! But is he making movies or just doing his usual soundtrack stuff?

  16. No clue but commenting so I get the emails as I am very curious. That House on St.Charles has some stories.

  17. What kind of f*cked up world is it where the coolest and darkest musicians are in their fifties, did the younger generations turn into pansies or something?

    ReplyDelete
  18. @Brayson87 Excellent comment. Perhaps the younger generation find it's antiheros amongst the Rap and Hip Hop world. Which is frightening in and of itself. lol.

  19. @brayson87 younger generation SJW loudmouths believe in the power of the establishment now. As an example, see the digital brownshirts and their blue-checked journo allies on twatter & faceborg calling on their tech overlords to punish dissident thinkers is much more current year than rebelling against their university professors telling them there is 27 different sexual orientations.

They could use a dose or two of the Count to get them loosened up imo

  20. This is a great one! I have no clue, but please continue the sleuthing!

  21. Trent Reznors connection to NOLA is pretty big but he is just involved with soundtracks. Unless he is working on a film someone else is making. Plus I hope its not him because Trent is one of the good guys out there and I dont want him hurt.

  22. HC Senior has been involved in several controversies that he convicted innocent men. In one case a death sentence was overturned with I believe a $14 million verdict. Ruth Bader Ginsberg has criticised him. So I could see why there are people out to get back at him.
In his defence, he says that he has conducted thousands of trials, and the number of wrongful sentences is statistically small.

  23. Just to be different James Hetfield, he was just in the Ted Bundy movie, Metallica

I would argue The Misfits are A+ in terms of punk, as one of the most influential and well known in their genre. Also, Danzig was totally A list at one point circa "Mother."

The only person I can think of who matches the A list singer now with an A+ band is Adam Lambert. According to IMDB he did a cameo in Bohemian Rhapsody and also he was Eddie in that godawful Rocky Horror remake.
If it's him, he should be very careful. He's an expendable.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Uh oh. I hope whomever it is doesn't get Chris Cornell'd or Chester Bennington'd

  29. Enty - More hints please

  30. @Brayson - the answer to your question "did the younger generation turn into pansies..."
    is yes.

and what is up with Trent Reznor's third son born in 2015 whose name, according to Wikipedia, has "not been revealed"

Imma go with Adam Lambert...he's voiceacting for a lego movie which is currently in production

  31. What about Josh Homme or Dave Grohl?

  32. John Mayer, currently touring with the Grateful Dead.

  33. Does Maynard Keenan of Tool have any film directing or production credits? Talk about a true "jack of all trades" type....

    ReplyDelete
  34. Ewwww....just had a gross thought. What if Enty is being facetious with the A list descriptors here and the musician/director in question is actually Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit!?? *barfs*

    ReplyDelete
  35. @filmfanb.....I thought of Hetfield too, but, he's too normal for this. I think he's one of the only rock guys whose come out of it unscathed and has his act together pretty much (maybe an occasional problem with alcohol) but pretty normal. I want to see him do more films. Haven't seen the Bundy flick yet but can't wait to see where he'll pop up next. (Remake of "The Sound of Music" for shits and giggles.)

  36. @Brayson, once they started giving ADD drugs to all the naturally rebellious kids so they would be docile it was all over.

    COuld it be Justin Timberlake?

    ReplyDelete
  37. It must be James Hetfield.

    ReplyDelete
  38. YB, Maynard is a good guess too!

    1. Thanks Mde. Housecat! Maynard's resume makes me feel like the laziest human ever, lol....Mr. Keenan belongs to like 4 or 5 different bands as vocalist (with VERY great range, btw) & lyricist/songwriter, and then in his "off time" is an artist, jujitsu aficionado, producer, sketch comedian, winemaker (with a vineyard he operates in dry ass Arizona, of all places!!), and is also a restaurateur and author...WHEW!! Am I forgetting anything? Hahaha.

  39. Misfits are perm A, they have one of the most identifiable logos ever produced. Crimson ghost, and Marilyn Monroe's skeleton. Danzig was a hell of a singer his Danzig albums were amazing, that was what I always skated to. Seeing Misfits shirts sold at Walmart freaked me out.
