Blind Item #2

The foreign born former A list rapper now realizes she was tricked by varying forces to abandon a show in a foreign country. She thought it was solidarity and all that. Instead, now she watches as others go in and collect the checks and laugh at her.

  3. So she starts trying to do the right thing after doing the wrong things for so long and gets laughed at. Not sure if it is Karma but if she feels strongly about something she has to be able to stand by it.

  4. Know what's better than cancelling your gig in a country ruled by a murderous royal family? Never booking the gig in the first damn place. It's not like Saudi Arabia suddenly became an authoritarian, woman-hating shithole.

  6. +1 to MountainMama and Thorne
Getting tricked into kinda doing the right thing and seeing it backfire is pretty funny.

  7. If the people who told her not to do it, then booked the same gig, that is some shady shade. That is some backstage at the Kiwanis beauty pageant schtick.

Nicki in Saudi Arabia. I thought that probably a "sponsor" dropped out and that's why she cancelled.

  9. Gotta love the way US citizens make excuses for the Country Responsible for 9/11.

  10. ^^^ are you fucking insane? One of the very biggest sponsors of state terrorism (right up there with Iran and the US), who spawned the asswipes that flew the planes into WTC, who execute gays and oppress women, and your comment is "Yeah, they're bad but not as bad as Iran." What's the point of adding that pearl of wisdom to this thread?

  11. Look, rappers always do the right things for the right reasons.

  12. Good for her for cancelling and who cares if other performers are laughing at her choice. This is just like not playing Sun City- there’s no shame in taking the high road.

I was very clear and not making excuses for Saudi Arabia. I said they are of this world. They enjoy their wealth and privilege and no not want the world to end. Iranian Mullahs don't care if the world ends or not.

We are ignoring the major threat to the human race dearies, that's why I added my pearls of wisdom on a thread that was already about Saudi Arabia. Not that big a stretch.
