JLo,Superbowl. Who cares about hits? Still a better choice than Maroon 5. They require lip sync,and she is the best at it. She has friends that can show up. Even people with better songs,like Timberlake,suck at these shows.
Jlo has had a ton of huge hits, just nothing recent. But have many Superbowl performers had recent hits in relation to when they performed? Justin Timberlake? Lenny Kravitz? Missy Elliot? Chili Peppers?
She may not have any single hits like some other real 'singers' but no doubt she can 'put on a show slash spectacle" which is the draw for these things anyway (or more so) and she can do the few throwbacks like Jenny from The Block stuff that would be fun retro. These shows are all about some pomp explosion and dance numbers and etc etc anyway.
I agree that jlo has lots of hits, just nothing recent, but neither have many. It's more about recognizable songs and energy. I actually think of the top 40 sorts, she'd put on a good halftime show. Say what you want about her, but she DOES work her tail off, and would have the crowd engaged.
She definitely had some hits in the early 2000s. Unpopular opinion, but, I actually liked Maroon 5's performance over Beyonce (bring on the beehives) . LOL
Jennifer Lopez- However, I disagree. She has a few huge hits for sure. "All I Have" was MASSIVE, "Jenny from the Block", "If you had my love", "Love Don't Cost a Thing" and those are just off the top of my head.
Give me Van Halen, powers that be. I’d love to see wacky ol’ Diamond Dave do his thing, and then we could see a battle of the frontmen, with Sammy and the other guys popping onstage, with a follow up battle of the rhythm section, with Wolfie and Steve Perry, and I guess we could could have girls dancing around, and also, fireworks.
JLO is one of the best performers and has been for a while. She may not be popular but is a hell of a performer regardless of her failure to chart. Let her sing what the people want to hear and know. Prefer her over Maroon 5 yiiikes
