So many big names are sitting out another season of this show because the showrunner got an increase to the budget by a factor of three but has worked it out so he can keep more if it for himself. He wasn't going to share, so they walked.
Evan Peters has been out for months ever since he broke up with Emma. Sarah Paulson is off to bigger and better things it seems. AHS was good in the beginning....but, has not been in awhile. Ratings have been way down.
Sarah Paulson won't be much involved with the next season of American Horror Story partly because she's the lead on a Netflix miniseries, Ratched, the story of Nurse Ratched before the events of One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest. Which is created and produced by Ryan Murphy. So, she's walking out of a Ryan Murphy show to star instead in a Ryan Murphy show. Yep, makes sense!
@filmfanb - I actually love AHS. The most recent season, Apocalypse, was garbage, but the rest have been great. To me, it's more of a binge watch show than a once a week thing. There are so many little details that you forget from week to week. My favorites were Coven, Hotel, Roanoke, and Cult. All the seasons are linked so you kind of have to watch them all.
So will Ryan Murphy ever be revealed to the public as the creep who had a hand in murders (like mark sallings so he couldn’t spill truth) & being besties w/Bryan Singer?
i really hope, but i have this fear that Murphy will take the role of " THE SUPREME BOSS " when Geffen will die or disappear ( or less likely, brough down by justice )
Murphy is becoming more and more powerful, and so, it will be more difficult to expose him

I didnt mind season 1 or 2. 3 I need to watch again because New Orleans is my favorite place. The rest I really didnt like at all. One or two episodes and I have to turn off.
This is a BS blind. Murphy has a new deal at Netflix, but AHS is at FX so whatever money he's getting at Netflix has no bearing on the salaries on AHS. And besides Sarah Paulson is doing a show for Murphy on Netflix called "Ratched".
I really loved the show. And they freaking killed it. The last few seasons were crap. Emma Robert's. Are you kidding me? Lousy actress and person. No thank you, Mr. Murphy.

ReplyDeleteI LOVED Season 1. After that, I’d say the circus one & the hotel one w/ Gaga were the only ones I liked. I stopped watching a few seasons ago.

ReplyDeleteLove AHS though. Murder House, Coven, Asylum and Freak Show were all my favourites. Quite liked Apocalypse too in all honesty! Hated Hotel, and Gaga.
Also.... Netflix is now showing Glee in the UK. Watched a few episodes. Feels very... eerie, now that Corey Monteith OD'd and Mark Salling was a pedo.
Yeah, Ryan Murphy got a shitload of money in his overall deal but that was a couple of years ago and shouldn't be an issue NOW.
