Apparently the celebrity sibling of a permanent A+ list singer is a sex addict but won't attend meetings because she doesn't think it is a real disease. She does however sleep with random men every week or so despite still being married.

I agree...sex "addicts" are more commonly drug addicts, drunks, people with undiagnosed bipolar or other psychiatric disorder or just plain sluts who need an excuse....
Some sex addicts say they do not even enjoy the sex, once they are deep enough into the addiction. But that they feel like they have to do it anyway, with anyone they can. But that it's joyless for them.

Clarifying/rephrasing: they CAN technically control it, but it's a compulsion, so it's very difficult for them to do so, even if they want to.
