I'm with @Sandybrook! Kindergarten. Half day, milk break AND a nap! It doesn't get any better than that! All down hill after that. Even HS was a 'meh.' As an adult, the college years where the BEST.
2nd Grade, had a lovely old white haired teacher that did the best art projects. I still have some of them over 50 yrs later, and I hated art but she had us do the coolest shit. Generally related to the holidays.
There were years when I dearly loved my friends and school (10th, 11th), but the mess at the house/family was so profound that I couldn't really enjoy school. If that makes sense.

I did well in school but I can't say any year was my favorite. Every year had its ups and downs. It's tough being a kid.
