    1. I've tried more than one recipe and they are just nasty.

    2. Boil in water and butter
      Yum

    3. Roast me in the toaster oven and add bacon and balsamic. So good!

    4. Deep fried Brussels sprouts with your choice of dipping sauce could be a game changer for you.

    5. Brussels sprouts tastes like farts made solid no matter how I cook them.

  3. Tomatoes. Plain, ordinary tomatoes.

  4. Okra, it is so slimy.

For fruits, it is bananas, they smell alone makes me really sick.

@simon if you toss brussel sprouts in olive oil and roast them in a hot oven until they are turning brown and crisp they are really good. They lose the "cabbage" taste

  5. I'm with you @Simon I have had tons of folks tell me "Oh that's cus you never tried my Brussels sprouts" sorry nothing can take away that bitter taste they have, ICK NAST!!

  6. Okra YES. Gross and slimy.
    Eggplant. It hurts my tongue.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Bell peppers, just gross.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Habanero peppers—never again! But I'll take the okra, Brussel sprouts, eggplant and tomatoes.

    ReplyDelete
  9. It's a tie between beets and avocado

    ReplyDelete
  10. @simon, @troy gave you the key ingredient. Balsamic. Brussels need savory or umami, salt and acid for the pallet.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Beetroot. tastes of mud. texture vile

  12. STEPHEN HAWKING. NEVER LIKED THE GUY

    ReplyDelete
  13. @montana right? That’s all i hear is you haven’t tried mine. But i have tried a ton of ways and it’s still just not working for me.

    ReplyDelete
  14. O’k, going to get out the balsamic and try again. We will see!

    ReplyDelete
  15. But ... Stephen is the smartest of all vegetables.

I dislike most vegetables. Broccoli/cauliflower (esp cauliflower, even with cheese on it). I liked brussel sprouts for a little while but I don't find them bitter, they taste like paste (like avocado to me, don't get the hype).

However, I do like one vegetable that many seem to dislike - PARSNIPS!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Olives. and I really dislike bell peppers. But the MOST disgusting food of all is BANANAS!!!! And melon!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Eggplant. I just can't.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Beets and avocado are so disgusting.

  19. Green bell peppers. Ugh.

Goddamn sweet potatoes & eggplants. However I do like sweet potato fries.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yellow squash. Tasteless and watery no matter how it is prepared.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @gauloise that's true about the brussel sprouts! Add some sea salt and bacon on top and they're really pretty good. Otherwise, @simon is right and I can't eat them at all.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Butternut squash is disgusting.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @blue haired witch if you quarter it and slice them, then saute with garlic and olive oil until they are browned and crisp all the water will go away. They have to be almost burnt to have flavor and no water

you can toss with pasta or rice and some parsley.

    Or grill them.

but steamed or boiled they are gross

    ReplyDelete
  25. I actually like every vegetable on earth EXCEPT ass-paragus. It smells like pee and the texture is awful

    ReplyDelete
  26. cauliflower. o that's so gross!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Any kind of beans....GAG.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Kale! Is it even a vegetable? I think people only eat it in public to prove they have health virtue and then go home and down a whole box of Ho-Hos or Ding Dongs.

    Green cardboard is more satiating.

Brussell sprouts. I don't care how you fix them they are disgusting.

    ReplyDelete
  30. okra - that weird veggie is 100% disgusting/WTF

    ReplyDelete
  31. BELL PEPPERS - the worst, all colors

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anonymous12:44 PM

Green peppers are the only vegetable I dislike and they are very bad for you too.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Brussel sprouts roasted and then tossed with bacon are soooo good!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I hate beets with a passion I normally reserve for pedophiles, murderers, and people who make their potato salad with miracle whip. Absolutely disgusting.

    ReplyDelete
  35. This is such a contrast compared to the stories we get told. It’s kale btw

    ReplyDelete
  36. Fucking Okra and green bell peppers!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Sprouts in general

    ReplyDelete
  41. Fucking kale. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck.

Y'all need to try your okra fried. Lightly breaded, sprinkled with pepper, and pan fried in oil until it's crispy.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Sweet potatoes. Get them out of my face, now! 🤢

    Spinach and Brussels sprouts

  44. I absolutely love any and all vegetables...except green beans for some reason, but I do like the spicy pickled kind.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Slimy okra. I’m not thrilled with tomatoes but I do like plum tomatoes.

    ReplyDelete
  46. #1 Miss Peach. Brussels sprouts with bacon and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar is like candy to me. I literally order extra to take home when I see it being offered at a restaurant. Wegmans deli area usually has a wonderful shaved Brussels sprout version that is so yummy. I love most veggies but hate sweet potatoes, and I have tried them in every conceivable way. They seriously make me want to hurl.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Okra. I have yet to find a way to make it palatable.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Lima Beans, Red Onions

All of you Brussel sprouts & 🥑 haters can send them my way. I’ll also take the whole nightshade family.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I love my vegies, a plate of steamed veg with butter salt and pepper is one of my favourite meals. Not a fan of B sprouts , one or two is my limit and don't like the slimy texture of Okra or anything with a bitter taste like kale. If you're classing bell peppers/chillies as a veg you can leave them off my plate as well. Bell peppers are only good when they are red (ripe)and the skin is charred off and they are cooked

Otherwise I'll eat most veg, really depends on how they are cooked.

@ Shakey I love parsnips as well.

    ReplyDelete
  50. onions, broccoli and all cruciferous vegetables. like green onions though

    ReplyDelete
  51. Humans weren't meant to eat vegetables. That's why they taste so bad just by themselves.
However, my mother made the absolute best fried eggplant. Sliced, salted, drained, dipped in beaten egg, dipped in cornmeal, fried in lots of butter. Absolute heaven! That's the problem with vegetables--they don't taste good unless slathered in lots of fat--cheese, butter, oil. Just ask, How do you like your fat delivered?

    ReplyDelete
  52. I’m having a hard time thinking of a veg I won’t eat prepared SOME way or another. I guess sprouts. They’re an E. coli trap. And radicchio. It’s so bloody bitter.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Also the lesser squashes - acorn, spaghetti, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Nothing bitter.

I love some of the ones others are naming as hated.

    We can trade vegetables then.

    ReplyDelete
  55. "Kale! Is it even a vegetable?"

    Form of cabbage, I think.

    It's horrid.

    ReplyDelete
  56. "I guess sprouts. They’re an E. coli trap" - Epon

Yesss and they put them on everything in any healthy restaurant. You can often till see the dirt on them.

    "No sprout, please."

    * everything arrives under thick sprouts blanket*

"Could I please have this w/out sprouts."

"Just pick them off. They're good for you."

Thought bubble: You're the server, not my parent...Grr

They're so germ ridden, and besides when you remove a thing it takes the good stuff with it. AND no flavor, AND looks like worms. ICK

I don't like bitter greens either Epon. We might both be super tasters.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Never had a brussels sprout.

Nothing about their look, smell or reputation enticed me.

They could qualify as a blind item here, they are so rank.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I hate Kale.
Pan fry Brussel sprouts with chopped onion or shallots and diced bacon, ground pepper and salt. Yum!

  59. Fave Veg: Stephen Hawking

    ReplyDelete
  60. Goodau doesn't heat reduce their bitterness? Or removing part of the plant?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Celery,I hate it with a passion. it tasre bitter to me. I don't mind if its cooked in s casserole something.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Any type of cabbage. yuke!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Beets is the only vegetable I will not eat.

    ReplyDelete
  64. If you don't like red beets, try golden beets. Totally different.

Celery mainly tastes salty to me; if it's in a dish, that is almost all I can taste.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Kiwi fruit. A lot of work with very little payoff at the end.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I like most veggies, but could do without eggplant and corn. That being said...my husband loves corn pudding, so I make it at least once a year.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Wondering if it's just that thread.

    ReplyDelete
  68. That's kind of you, Disparaging Remark.

Corn pudding is yum. AKA corn souffle.

  69. Beets and brussel sprouts. I remember eating them as a child, and so wanted to try them over here in Belgium, where food not only looks great, it tastes great. Nope! Not even close, on either of these! I know people say that they can be delicious and I've looked at recipes. Just NO. The other thing I can't stand is cilantro. It tastes like soap to me and makes anything else that it is in, taste like soap. (This is a genetic thing.)

    ReplyDelete
  70. "Cilantro"

Did everyone know that the way people perceive cilantro (gross or yum), or the depth to which they taste bitter foods, is genetic?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Hate beets.

Love brussel sprouts and lima beans.
