Blind Item #11

There has been such backlash to this hologram tour of a permanent A lister, that the idea will hopefully be scrapped. It is such a tacky way to make money.

  8. Question....Why use boring ass 2D holograms for these deceased legacy acts when there has been recent video circulating on social media of humanoid AI robots doing complex gymnastics routines? Clearly the programming technology has come a loooooong way since the days of Billy Bob and the Rock-a-Fire Explosion from Showbiz Pizza... These greedy estate holders should consider touring with animatrons instead!

  9. Maybe Jello Biafra can do this but using Jack, John Jr. and Robert holograms for a Dead Kennedys comeback tour as a joke.

  10. Whitney, her family would put her corpse on stage with puppet strings if it could make them money.

  11. @Yummy, Because then audiences would have to admit that most live performances are no better than Chuck E Cheese. At least with human performers you can try to pretend they're not lip syncing to shittier vocal recordings of their hits. Yeah we noticed, nobody makes the same mistake in a song every single show.

  12. @Brayson, I'm thinking Britney's family is no better than Whitney's in that respect, and will have her on strings just the same.

Speaking of Brit....now THERE is an example of not even REMOTELY trying to conceal obvious lip-syncing. At least with someone like Beyonce, if she is going to lip sync, she'll do it to a set of pre-recorded live vocals - so it's not as obvious. I appreciate the effort, lol. With Britney? She straight up mimes to the SAME exact vocal track from the final, mixed version from her CDs, auto-tune and all. It's insulting πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  13. I'd pay to see a hologram of Whitney's corpse on puppet strings. But then again I am easily amused, so...

  14. It's only a matter of time before a Jacko hologram tour. Complete with holograms of little boys.

  18. Set list for the Whitney hologram tour.

    Saving All My Crack
    Where Do Broken Pipes Go
    Inhale (Shoop Shoop)
It's Not Right but it's Cocaine
I Wanna Smoke Crack with Somebody (Who Loves Me)

  19. Robert-- do you have any clue how well the tickets are selling? I cant imagine paying to see this! Why not piece together footage of real Whitney concerts and release a film? Concert films can do fairly well, and it could be highlights of her best live performances from all eras and looks.

  20. I could totally see whitney being all for it. She loved being in the spotlight

  26. I think the holograms are made from the real performances the artist done when they were alive. Tupac's was from his last concert at The House of Blues. Whitney's voice was angelic, but she looked so unhealthy and emaciated it would make me sad and remind me of her struggle with addiction. The best way to honor Whitney is listening to her music not watching her performance.
