Blind Item #11

Burning Man has turned into a straight up yachting thing. One party, attended by a billionaire and thrown by his friend had nothing but wealthy men and a host of professional and Instagram models who made deals for that night and for the weeks and months to come.

  6. Also Sergey Brin, one of the founders of Google has been there. Fun fact, his wife founded 23 and me. That couple managed to steal all of the worlds infromation and DNA. The more you know ...

  11. @Super Comic, What do you think the yachters are there for, it's not just a Dubai thing.

  12. @Brayson87: Until I started reading CDAN, I had no idea about yachting but even more recently, I heard how disgusting the sanitation at Burning Man is.

If I were a billionaire, I would have better places to be.

  13. @Super, Yeah the sanitation isn't the most disgusting thing there.

  14. Plus Burning Man is a great place to drop acid which is what half of them are there for.

  15. @MyDog, Anne left Sergey after some very public cheating, so I don’t think she or Susan are on team Sergey. The power couple thing is pretty common around here. Most couples meet in school or when they’re just starting out and grow into their careers together. Sergey & Anne met when he was renting Susan’s garage, which is not uncommon on the peninsula.

  16. @BayAreaGirl Thanks for the info. It's just weird how many of the tech CEO's spouses are very powerful as well in their own right.

  17. Maybe it’s one of recent attendees mentioned here: https://www.fastcompany.com/90378291/tech-billionaires-havent-killed-burning-mans-anti-capitalist-spirit-but-influencers-might

  18. Gross. The scent and taste of baby wipes and ass. OMG NO AMOUNT OF MONEY would make me go there. These people are degenerate. I know someone who goes every year since the beginning. He's in his late 50 s and is one of those assholes that walks around naked all the time. He lives on this mountain in NoCal and you have to go through a gate to get to the properties at a certain point. You can bet his sleezy stinky ass is there, naked, at the pond every day./ He calls himself a reverend. What he is is a lucky bastard who inherited the property from his wife back in the seventies. He also started mardi gras in oakland, ANYwho that's all I imagine is there given his stories. All these washed up stinking mother fuckers and a bunch of whores that smell of baby wipes. GAG

  19. They actually have new policies to murky the waters so you'll use their products without dear of being the next Golden State killer. There's another site/organization that you REALLY need to worry about getting your DNA. DeepMind was closed for a reason.

  20. @MyDog, when you consider that they meet at work or school, it’s not surprising. In the real world, not Hollywood, Marriage tends to be more successful if you choose a spouse of similar educational background & career ambitions.

  21. Mike Meldman. Many 1% attendees stay at this resort for the 1% while there.

  30. Sorry, I'm not familiar with US law. If '23 & Me' or similar were to cease trading or partner with another company, what would happen to the data agreement terms? Could your data be sold, or possibly transferred to the partner's own terms & conditions? Has this happened before?

  31. Getting paid $$$'s for at most two minutes of lousy sex with a small dicked middle aged nerd seems like a bargain.

  32. Oh god. I hope Burning Man fucking implodes- it’s a haven for rich, white douche-canoes. It’s so far from cool it’s not funny. ☠️

  33. Anyone think Megan Markle will be able to yacht at Burning Man five years from now? That would make her 47.
