Blind Item #2

I have written a few times about this prolific showrunner who wanted to save money for himself and said goodbye to regular cast members who had been with him for many years. Well, now, in order to make even more money for himself he is shooting 12 hour days with little or no breaks and doesn't care if gets fined because the fines would be so little. Plus, the unions won't complain against someone of his stature. He also is trying to jam in as much as possible this week because he wants several days off to party for the Emmy Awards. I wonder if that disgraced director will be partying with him. One day this week, his heavy schedule forced several people to leave the set and see the medic.

  3. Those poor things having to work 12 hours. Nurses across the country work 12 hour shifts on the regular. Most hospital floor nurses are mandated to work them, that is how their shifts run. They also usually get several days off in a row. What a monster this guy is lol. Also lololol at having to see medics at the end of a 12 hour day.

  4. So their unions are a joke, big surprise after they condoned their members being sexually assaulted for decades until #metoo.

No offense but nurses choose to work such long shifts, it comes with the territory. An actor might not be comfortable with 12 hour shifts, and they have the right to complain. Having to see a medic or not depends where they are shooting, since they are not in a office or regular work place, a shoot can be dangerous i.e. shooting in a very cold/snowy place and the actor has to wear little clothing, and forcing someone to these conditions can result in a law suit and are absolutely inhumane.

    1. Actors spend most of their time in their trailer. Doubt this is about the actors. It’s about the poor crew.

  6. Ryan Murphy
The crew working 12+ hours with no breaks, I sympathize with. The cast who just sit in their trailers for 8-9 hours I have no sympathy for. To them I say get a job in corporate America, where you work 10 hours+ in the office and then more when you get home and on weekends. So glad I retired from my tech job and now can just travel.

  7. As a geek I bought the Star Trek DS9 documentary DVD and they were working 14-15+ hours regularly on a show that had upto 26 episodes.

  10. It is kind of a dick move that he is overworking them this week so he can have several days off to party. Work is work, but people having to bust their a$$es just so the boss can spend days doing lines and getting spit roasted by male models is pretty lame.

  11. I am torn between disdain and boredom here.

12 hour shifts for most any profession is....not a big deal and status quo for a lot of occupations.
That said...I get the idea that certain types of filming and such may be environmentally or physically stressful for the fragile people....but compare to construction workers and I lose my sympathy.
Unless the 12 hour shifts are sodomy shifts...

and @Brayson - presumably if they are working 12 hour shifts so he can get fucked up....they will get the days off too, no?

  12. The series of blinds is some complete bullshit, as you can find it on your own. They say that Sarah Paulson or Jessica Lange are snubbing him, and that's a huge reason why they're not on American Horror Story anymore. They're actually involved in other shows... produced by Ryan Murphy.

Besides, Murphy isn't on his own. He always works with the guy who's now married to Gwyneth Paltrow, and almost always with the guy who brought him the script to Glee. Actually, they've all been producers together for a decade. Yet, the blind is all about "him", "him", "himself", etc.
And the claim that the unions won't complain is laughable.

Actually, the real telling clue is the one about the "disgraced director". Murphy has never worked with Singer. It's a safe bet that the writer or provider to this blind is a raging homophobic who can't help making child molestation accusations.

  13. @Melit, I'd imagine they're unpaid days off spent recuperating.

  14. @ Angela where you see " homophobia" is beyond me, Enty is alluding at the " rumour"
that Murphy parties or has partied in the past with Singer in his infamous pool parties

and no, Enty is not the only one that has talked about these parties, i read time ago some horrific things by an " insider" that no, wasn't Enty

( also, you apparently have no idea how much of an egomaniac " dictator" Murphy is...he may work with others but he is the absolute BOSS )

  15. So, MJ, you're ready to come out as the source for these blinds?

By the way, Murphy's personality makes zero sense in your tales. Is he an egomaniac, a control freak who gives orders to everybody or the guy who spends his life partying and spending money while others do all the real work?

Because if Murphy was the dictator you describe, it would make zero sense for instance that the cast and crew would return year after year. Especially on an anthology show such as American Horror Story, where the actors don't have contracts with an automatic option to renew for the next season, given that there isn't necessarily some part that fits the story the writers and producers are trying to tell.

It also looks like this new blind was written on the quick to address the objections I had made yesterday against the previous two, the ones about Paulson and Lange being mad at the guy who was their boss, except that he's definitely their new boss. Now, it's the unnamed crew who's the actual victim of the horrible money-hungry Murphy. It would have been more interesting to see you (or whoever sent that story) address the contradictions rather than trying the same narrative in a totally different direction just to drive away attention from the crap in the two previous blind items.

  17. 12 hour days are normal for ALL crew and staff. Crews don't mind it cuz of all the OVERTIME and meal penalties which are sweeeeeeeeeeet. SAG work day is 8 hrs for day players and 10 hrs for weekly players. It's a long damn day.

  18. @ Angela " So, MJ, you're ready to come out as the source for these blinds?"

is this supposed to be funny? Bc this is ridicolous

    your replies are frankly laughable

is laughable that you think that since Ryan loves to party he cannot be a dictator on set, he can be both, you know, what is the absurd idea that he cannot do both? Did you read the blind? It says " wants to finish soon SO he can have more days to party"

is laughable that you think that actors wouldn't return if Ryan or ANYONE act as a dicator or as an A**éole bc Ryan is VERY POWERFUL and he is a sick man, but can give you success, much succes and fame, so, many people accept to work wih him bc , and this may come as new to you, some people LOVES fame and money and success

i find moving that you think that Enty is " correcting " the blinds bc YOU debubked them, bc your " debunking" were laughable : Lange, Kathy Bates may have seen that Ryan didn't put enough money on the AHS project, and so, bailed

Then, Lange sses that a new project of Ryan ( it looks like Murphy wants to do a movie about Marlene Dietrich with her) is very interesting, there is enough money and wants to work with Murphy again, what's so " absurd"

People follow their interest, nothing else..what, people acting in Hollywood FOR interest? Shocking, i tell you, shocking

P.S i heard that even during gLee SAG ( i think?) had to intervene for the way actors were treated
