Everyone over the age of 40 in Adelaide has a story about a school friend, or someone in their neighborhood, who was raped and/or murdered by “the family”, or their own tale of a close escape. Everybody knows the names of the Justices, Ministers, and even at least one Governor involved, but nothing is ever done.
