As I told you two months ago, this foreign born late night host had no place to go which was going to pay him as much money as his network gig. So, his whining and threatening about going home was just a money ploy which his employers fell for and paid him a whole lot of money which he will share none of with his writers or staff.

I think he's here because he isnt wanted over there for anything. We better watch out or we may get Piers Morgan back for the same, exact reason and we sure dont want anything to do with him

ReplyDeleteCorden is liked for his Gavin and Stacey gig. He is not really disliked here despite comments on CDAN. What reasonably intelligent person wouldn’t go after as much money as they could get? Fame and fortune is mostly fleeting. This blind just spins facts that are pretty typical and in fact not salacious at all.
ReplyDeleteHe got really big because of Gavin and Stacey and they just got tired of him being everywhere. And some also think he's not a funny comedian.
ReplyDeleteWell being a LN host is not an easy gig considering the amount of censorship & sponsors going on, plus the suits from his channel might’ve wanted him to tone down the British humor and be more family-friendly, which would consequently make him unfunny. I know in many cultures British humor is not understood or appreciated.
ReplyDeleteTo me the only good one left is Conan, and you can catch glimpses on his show of him telling stupid jokes he doesn’t really want to.
It's not just "CDan" who dislikes Corden. Every article on DM written about Corden has nasty comments.

@Boldblonde, What do any of them bring to the table? It's easy to be a comedian when the network is paying a team to write your jokes and skits. Well you'd think it would be easy.

Corded sucks, and has peaked. He can't go anywhere else, except Chelsea Handlers spot on Netflix. He's not a Conan O'Brien level talent who can change networks, or even work without writers. He got to where he is by ass kissing contacts, then burning them.
ReplyDeleteHe's one of those people who you either love or hate ... I'm kinda mutual on him but I will say, when he smiles he emits the most incredible, feel-good, energy ... maybe that's why his fans love him? He seems a bit grumpy in paparazzi pictures (as do a lot of TV folk), but he must be good at his job otherwise he'd be out. His wife seems lovely.
ReplyDeletePS: I do quite like Piers because he says what a lot of people are thinking but are too scared to say publicly. He has had an amazing career, seen a lot of things and met a lot of people, which makes him an interesting character.

ReplyDeleteHe's not popular in England. Never watched that 'Gavin and Stacy' thing but I can tell you that outside of that he has a very small following. He gets too serious with stuff he knows nothing about.
