This A-/B+ list country singer needs rehab, but refuses to go. She has had some incidents as of late. There have been the reported ones and then there have been the not reported ones such as passing out in hotel bars or flashing people after drinking too much.

It's a brain disease. Once you are wired that way ...you got it for life.
I have a loved one who lost everything and is now derelict, homeless and brain damaged. Chronic severe alcoholism.
DaryIsBigFan.......American dark corporate interests have a way of perversion of good...i.e Bill Wilson, co founder of AA , took drunks into his home and helped them sober up. 12 th step says you have to live a life helping others to stay sober. ..After the takeover, 12 th step isn't mentioned too often in the over all picture and 30 day treatment programs replaced individual responsibility for our communities.Of course, they ruined even that with insurance/corporate greed.

DeleteSupposedly it's evolution. There's a correlation between the percentage of alcoholics in a population and when alcohol was first introduced into that population. The further back in history they started drinking, the lower the percentage of alcoholics today. Because they died out. If we followed Mother Nature's plan we would just let people drink and drug themselves to death, in 200-300 years it wouldn't even be a problem anymore.

ReplyDeleteThat is BS. There are plenty of people who have quit drinking - and I mean heavy drinkers - who did quit, got better and lived the rest of their lives sober and productive.
