ReplyDeleteGrimes has been desperately trying to release her new album recently but seems to be unable to drum up substantial interest so far. IMO Elon has *asked* Amber to drop these blinds/info (because, well... she owes him) that makes Grimes seem like she's a cool, smart, edgy, independent thinker. Re: the handcuffs blind.
I've looked a lot and can't find evidence she's ANY of that. She seems, at best, perpetually whiney, desperate and adolescent to me. I still think they could be a cool pair, tho, even if he does keep treating her like a pet. As long as she agrees....

ReplyDelete@ Brayson87 Nope. It's an honest thought. I've followed grimes' socials for years and there's stuff I've seen recently that makes sense this is where the PR for her new album cycle is trying to go.
ReplyDeleteI doubt there's any truly damaging stuff coming (hopefully not, I think she's had quite enough, really). Probably just edgy things to try to change her image a bit. Her usual indy crowd HATES her bf and gives her a lot of unfair crap about it. Hopefully she's trying for a wider, more diverse audience this time and thinks this might help.
Grimes is just such an awful stage name. Her real name is Claire Elise Boucher, which is a beautiful name.

Grimes just sounds so oddly pretentious, especially if you are using it as a one name brand.
Maybe she had a personal reason for picking it, IDK but it just sounds like a pretty but moderately talented girl wanted to be cool and edgy so her handlers picked the handle "Grimes" for her.
