Blind Item #4

Lets see if the magazine that names the wealthiest does a little napkin math and realizes that the reality star with the lucrative side gig is nowhere close to being a billionaire even if the value of the company is correct, which it isn't. The good news is a lot of this goes from private to public in the next quarterly report.

  1. Do you remember when people were stupid enough to donate to Kylie for her to become the youngest billionaire? Yeah, there was a moment in time where people were that moronic lol

  5. I agree, @Brayson. Forbes is trying to appeal to non-Forbes readers.

  9. @mydog...
by "donate" do you mean actually "donate" in exchange for nothing? Or do you mean "buy a bunch of worthless crap" kind of donate?

  11. I'm of a different mindset. My guess is POTUS. Trump is so obsessed with his 'net worth' number that he has sued publications in he past who have reported tit too low. By most counts his net worth is a figment of his imagination. No where near a billion.

  12. @Clark, Actually "reality star with the lucrative side gig" is always Kylie, but good job earning your TDS points for the day. 👍

  15. This type of fuckery happens when gossip and entertainment reporters try to report on financial matters. Let's just conveniently forget that there were probably real money men/capital providers for Kylie's lip company (do you really think the Kartrashians spend any of 'their' money when they can just lend their name to something and get paid??). Since privately held no one has to ever file any financials for the company. I'm sure they probably gave her some equity (who knows how much) but certainly nowhere near 100 percent. Dumbshit reporters just start talking about 'her' company and so, of course, it's her company so she must own it all. Makes for a better story especially when valuations get big. Now that purchasers are public the real financial info with start to enter the public domain and we'll get a better idea of real dollars and who owns what percentage.

  16. Enty, that 600 million figure was quoted in July, 2019 in an industry trade magazine "Cosmetics Design." The company that bought a 51 percent stake in Kylie Cosmetics, Coty, is a low key German company. Their bean counters know why they picked that figure. If the valuation of the company is 1.2 billion, and Coty bought 51 percent, that is an accurate figure. Kylie still owns 49 percent of the company. As you said when the SEC filings come out, we'll see.

  17. “nowhere close to being a billionaire” ..Well neither was trump but it didn’t stop him claiming he was worth 5 billiondollars and being listed..maybe that amount in DEBT? but then, these listings are all politically/favor motivated anyway whereby facts are all “relative”
