Blind Item #5 - Reader Blind

This deceased actor suffered a serious physical impairment but despite that starred as an iconic instantly recognizable TV character who was smarter than he looked.

In real life, despite his marriage(s) and his impairment, the actor was an unrepentant skirt chaser and tried to pick up every woman he met. This included approaching women in public, in bus stations, restaurants, walking down the street. One unusual ploy he had was to find if there were any art classes in the area employing nude female models. He would then enroll in the class and attempt to pick up the model.

  10. Burghoff has a birth defect and is missing fingers on one had. I believe he also has a club foot. This sounds more like Falk though.

If Falk,It makes the iconic trenchcoat even more appropriate for his pervy private shenanigans. Art class models? Lol, that's pretty shameless trawling!

  14. I always felt bad for all the actors from MASH! We grew up watching it together as a family occasionally and we loved the show. All the actors were forever typecast. You rarely saw anyone outside the stars of the show once it was over and by the end of the 80's, they faded away too.

  15. That kind of pathological womanizing reminds me of William Paley, the founder of CBS in the great biography "In all his Glory." At the heart, the "rosebud" of Paley's compulsive womanizing was a cold, rejecting mother.

  16. I agree this sounds like Falk. Burghof was by all accounts a pretty wholesome guy.

  17. A lot of models in art classes are lesbians. Don't get your hopes up small thinkers.

  19. I picture Talk standing ogling these models at the art class, the only only not holding a pencil or piece of charcoal, so creeping them out. He leaves at the the end of the class to the models relief, only to step back in a second later saying,"Oh excuse me, there's just one more thing..."

Let face it, if you saw him at one of those classes then you'd know he's there for the perving and not the drawing, because his depth perception was beyond shit.
