william is the royal patron to the rugby team from wales. there was a lot of noise about william AND harry going to japan for the finals because their respective teams would be playing each other. wales did not advance so william did not go.
william and kate chose to go to her parents' home for a few christmasses instead of going to sandringham with the queen. so using the fact that harry and meghan are choosing to spend christmas away from sandringham is not proof positive of a royal rift.
harry and meghan's seated position in the royal box for the remembrance day musical was exactly where they were last year. In fact, almost everyone in the royal box was in the exact same seat as last year. but this year their spot is being used as more proof of a royal rift because william is seated next to his grandmother the queen and harry is in the second row.
look for meghan and the queen to be heavily featured in a buck house exhibit in the spring. it's about royal family members and their pets. i'm eager to see how they twist that into meghan causing a rift in the RF.
the backlash against meghan is heavy in the u.k. because of racism and also because she's american. the british press is hyper-focused on finding ways to twist every f'ing thing into some foul move by meaghan. and so many people still choose to believe exactly what they're told to believe. you can find little stories or mentions of the real truth within the quagmire of vitriol against the duchess of sussex, but you have to really dig for it and most people don't care enough to do that.
i remember when diana died. i remember how hounded she was on a constant basis. harry sees this with his wife and he remembers it with his mummy. i do not blame him for lashing out against the rotten media for blatant lies and twisted stories.
